Yeah. The artist shared this video with me, and accusing someone of using AI without any proof is not cool. We are all against generative AI, but it becomes a serious issue when people can’t tell the difference between human mistakes and AI, because that only fuels the narrative...

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtron

We were happy to see the conversations that the use of AI in Nature Manifesto sparked !! Below is a message from Björk: ~~~ “ the flood of all things from AI is overwhelming !! i am super grateful for your concerns about it´s effects on the environment , it shows you care , are curious and have integrity . i am curious too , i would like to be more informed about the difference of "frugal" AI and the ones that do hugeenvironmental damage and want to be able to choose . i asked around and found out that both the visuals and the audio in our pompidou project were done with "frugal" AI . but i have a lot to learn . when we used some of the AI softwares to merge the animals voices to mine , some of the sounds were great but to be honest , the best blends of their voices and a human were done "manually" , me editing the sounds , choosing piece by piece , looking for personality , musicality and soul . with new technology , i try to use it as a tool to grow , not a crutch . for example when i used melodyne , i used it not for lazy voice progressions but spent even more time when using it . every note in every chord became intentionally more complex . ( for example choir in "thunderbolt" ) and hopefully stretched the potential more out , further than i would have in "normal analog" physical improvisations ... i felt with this new tool i could reach new places in my musical DNA , become MORE personal . more myself . in my opinion , this is how we will work in the future . humans can read emotions on an incredibly high scale . nature made us that way . if there is no soul in tomorrow's music made by AI it is because no-one put it there and we have to speak out and guard this as listeners . ( tbh there is a lot of soulless muzak on spotify already ... they don’t need any AI help for that ...) anything that is mass manufactured without the attention of creativity , is that way . So remember that time machine I told you about? I managed to sneek out another video from my visit to the future.. this time I captured video of a 3d artist creating assets for a short commercial. They sculpted the bird in the video with nothing but two controllers which they used to manipulate generative matter in 3d. The AI model changed in realtime and adopted their style of work, both based on the work they did on the scene, and on reference images they gave the system. Seeing the 3d model transform in realtime as they were working on it was incredible. When it started moving and reacted to their instructions, I knew it was time to return to the present :D #art #ai

"Pros won’t use generative AI, and when the bubble pops, nobody will ever talk about it again." No. That’s delusional. 1/ Generative AI is already being used professionally at the level of big studios like Disney ($1B to OpenAI), and there’s zero doubt that studios like Industrial Light & Magic, Netflix, Hollywood VFX experts, etc. are already experimenting with it too. Or do you think they’re idiots? They’re not idiots at all. They have the experience and, more importantly, the DISTRIBUTION POWER. The point is: someone with taste, judgment, and storytelling experience, basically from their living room, will have access to (almost, or not even almost) the same capability as the big guys, because the pure "making stuff" skills have been commoditized, and the new way to create is just NATURAL LANGUAGE. What hasn’t been commoditized is good taste, the ability to create great stories that move people, and the ability to get them in front of people. So in the end, what wins is story quality and distribution. Having good taste, making a name for yourself, and owning strong IP (Marvel, etc.) will still matter. That’ll be true right up until AI is genuinely opinionated and can create by itself: if it comes to that, with zero human direction, stuff as good as (or better than) the very best human experts today, and on top of that, interactive in real time... Because yeah: there’s nothing in this universe that actually prevents that from happening. BUT WE’RE NOT THERE. For now, generative AI is a tool that needs direction and taste to make anything decent. And I hope it stays that way for a long time, because otherwise that’s going to be a brutal hit to humanity’s ego. 2/ On the "bubble": you have to distinguish between a stock valuation bubble (possible, I actually believe it) vs a bubble like some people imagine where it "pops" and we never hear about AI again. That obviously makes no sense given how insanely useful it is. It can only grow, and it’s going to grow fast, regardless of any stock market drawdowns (the internet kept growing even when valuations got nuked in 2000). Either way, the near future is going to be extremely interesting.

Halo 343 Studios: Here's 6 hours of Halo Ring start menu we probably spent 1.2 million making... Random X User: I think AI is better (prompts, 30 seconds later). Internet: Explodes. I'm sorry, but 343 got mogged judging by the reactions. You can nit at the AI video, but imagine if they spent a week polishing it rather than 5 minutes. This is a combination of 343 just not being good enough to deserve Halo and AI getting better every day. The comments are completely predictable. Every artist is defending the 343 version, not because they really thought about it, but because the perceive AI as a threat that must be taken out at all costs. Meanwhile non-artists see a lot of merit to the AI version and the potential. I see the issues with the AI version, but I bet you a few more days on the AI version, perhaps generating 3D assets with it, would end up being the clear winner. I think it's interesting that we're starting to see different types of specialists emerge in the field of Generative AI technology. We are seeing a new generation of world-class storytellers. Some are immaculate at vibe coding workflows and building infrastructures. Some are incredible at AI visual effects and AI cinematography. And some are just maestros at composition and world-building. And of course, many of us dip into all facets. We are witnessing the emergence of new creative and technical roles that didn't exist yesterday, and that's very exciting. And now we are starting to see the benefits of AI as an additive to existing workflows. I hope to work with many of you for the upcoming productions we have in the works at Promise.

The example here is a video of me saying some truly deplorable stuff (that I never in fact recorded myself) This is a huge problem for all the current top AI companies that as far as I can tell is not being addressed in any capacity by anyone. Sam Altman OpenAI Elon Musk Eliezer Yudkowsky ⏹️ Dr Jordan B Peterson @jason David Sacks Gentlemen... Do we have ANY suggestions for how to mitigate this, or are we just going to continue along until it bites us in the ass? Serious question.

World Models are the path for some AI Models in the future. But how can we efficiently train these models to not only see the world the way humans do but to see the world in a new and unique way. By visualizing, what is normally sequenced audio patterns, we can derive much more insights. Here we see Paganini in a visual form that can than be described and transcribed into a World Model. We can observe connections in a manner that may not have been clear prior to the digitalization of music and sound in this way. The company with the most valuable potential in building a World Model is Tesla. Not that this type of visualization is being used, but that the mechanisms are in place, and the technology is in place for the company to thrive in this new form of AI.

With much appreciation for President Donald J. Trump, there are no options for nearly 90% of the Iranian people inside Iran but Pahlavi. It is time to recognize the WILL of the people. We told the him weeks ago that this regime and its affiliate are crazy and that they won’t give up power until completely eliminated. We were right. We said not to trust the Kurd militia with starlink equipment and firearms and they won’t reach the people. We were right. We said that he negotiating with his regime is futile and that reaching an agreement with these demonic creatures is impossible. We were right. NOW we’re letting him that he should take out all the remaining officials if he wants to see any peace in the region and that the Iranians will not settle for anyone but HH Pahlavi because he is the only person that they trust and listen to and he’s the only person that will ensure a smooth transitional period and can bring peace. We should nuke the filibuster to pass the SAVE America Act. If we don’t have the votes to nuke the filibuster, we should put the SAVE America Act on the floor and debate it until it passes, requiring filibustering senators to speak and making clear that if they stop speaking, we can “call the question” and pass it with a simple majority. If for some reason we can’t do that—and to be clear, there’s no legitimate reason why we can’t—then we should use budget reconciliation to pass it. But not passing the SAVE America Act is not an option. Neither is taking a lengthy recess without doing any of the above.
