Years ago I asked former devs on the Metroid Prime Trilogy about their thoughts on Metroid Prime 4 and some of their predictions were spot on!! Despite no footage or info being around at that time! I look forward to hopefully reviewing Metroid Prime 4 with them next year!

If I were to compare Metroid Prime 4 to what kind of game it is, I'd say it's a blend of Prime 1 for the biomes, mixed with the story telling elements (but way better imo) of Metroid Prime 3. THIS is Next Gen Metroid Prime. Majestic, chilling, isolated and beautiful. ❄️🌨️

For people that are on edge regarding Metroid Prime 4's sales, don't worry!! Nintendo doesn't just look at sales when it comes to Metroid, part of the IPs purpose is to bring a different demographic into Nintendo's ecosystem. Here is the producer of Metroid Prime 2 & 3 stating exactly that, straight from the horses mouth!!

I'm still having an amazing time with Metroid Prime 4, the atmosphere is unmatched. I'm much farther past this part in my video here, but if I compared it to Metroid Prime 3 this far in, Prime 4 is already easily better. I'll decide on vs Prime 1 and 2 when I'm done with it.

Good to have Metroid Prime back. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond controls & plays better than ever. Running at 120fps on my MSi OLED monitor then switching to 4K / 60fps on the big LG OLED TV! (Early game no spoilers of course)

Dude said Metroid Prime 4 looks like "Temu Halo"🤣 I couldn't agree more, Halo on the 360 looks vastly better than this. Nintendo is doing a disservice to this franchise, Metroid Prime Deserves better.

Some PS3 games still hold up pretty well today, crazy how games like God of War still look better than every Switch 2 game in 2025, if this cameout on the Switch 2 today it would be considered by Fanboys the game of the generation just based on graphics alone, boss fights in Metroid Prime 4 don't look anywhere near this good, this destroys Metroid Prime 4 in the graphics department by a huge margin. #Playstation 💪

The single most important thing in a game is design. You can have the best story, music, art and have a game that is technically amazing and runs at a perfect 120FPS without a dip however if the design of a game is flawed it brings the whole game down. Barely any reviews I have watched of Metroid Prime 4 have spoken specifically about its level design (most reviewers dont talk about level design at all in any games.) Prime 4's level design consists of basically elevators, hallways and a big empty desert which don't interconnect at all. Increasingly I am seeing more and more in AAA games, an emphasis on story, art and engineering at the expense of design when design should be the first thing that is nailed! Mike Wikan the Senior Designer On The Metroid Prime Trilogy (he wasnt around on Prime 4) makes a good point here.
