BIG | 🇺🇸🇮🇷‼️‼️ The U.S. Navy spent four months secretly clearing Iranian naval mines from the Strait of Hormuz, conducting a high-risk operation largely out of public view while Washington tried to reopen one of the world’s most critical shipping corridors. According to the Financial Times, small teams of U.S. Navy divers worked alongside robotic boats and underwater vehicles equipped with sonar to locate mines believed to have been laid by Iran. Once identified, the mines were neutralized with explosive charges. President Donald Trump has since claimed that all mines in international waters have been removed, but commercial shipping companies remain cautious as Tehran retains the ability to lay new mines while missile and drone attacks around the strait continue. The four-month operation shows how difficult it is for even the world’s most powerful navy to guarantee freedom of navigation in such a confined and heavily contested waterway. Iran does not need to physically close Hormuz to create strategic pressure because the credible threat of mines, missiles and drones can already suppress traffic, drive insurance costs higher and force commercial vessels to rely on naval protection. Shipping through the strait has now fallen to its lowest level since May, underscoring why Washington will need sustained maritime security operations if it wants to prevent Tehran from repeatedly recreating the same bottleneck. Yesterday on the Divisive Line, James White (in a custom Coogi vest) was in rare form. I’ll have multiple clips to share from this episode. This first one concerns Eric Conn and Joel Webbon. Right off the bat, James takes issue with Eric Conn calling for Samuel Sey to repent of his lies. White calls this an attack against Sey, as if the lies that Samuel says are not to be considered attacks. There is a tacit denial here that Sey has lied at all. In fact, Samuel Sey has lied about very many people, and not just Christian nationalists. He will make false accusations against almost anyone in order to score social media victories. Off the top of my head, he said that The Transformed Wife was promoting Red Pill ideology, and he also claimed that Eli McGowan said that Sey defended white nationalism. “A few moments later,” James White implies that the only things being said about Conn and Webbon is that they’ve changed. But that’s not even close to what Samuel Sey has said, nor James White for that matter. This has all been documented. Hilariously, James White counters this with the tu quoque fallacy. In essence, Eric Conn can’t accuse Samuel Sey of lying since Conn “lied” about the contents of a book being sold at his conference! Of course, Eric didn’t lie about the book. He described its contents in general and gave his opinion of it. Folks are free to disagree with that, but it’s not even in the same stratosphere as the slander that Sey/White traffic in. And in conclusion, we know exactly why Team Good™️ calls us all Nazis, racists, misogynists, etc. It’s because they want horrible things to happen to us, obviously, in my opinion. 😉
