#WATCH | Bhagalpur, Bihar: A Pakistani woman, who came to India in 1956, has been found to be in Bihar's voter list and was even verified in the SIR carried out in the state. When the Home Ministry started carrying out an investigation regarding foreign nationals who had overstayed their visa period, this woman was identified in Bhagalpur. Investigation has begun, and the process to remove her from the voter list has also been initiated. Booth Level Officer Farzana Khanam says, "... I received a letter from the department with her passport number, which I cross-checked. We have been asked to remove her name. Her name is Imrana Khanam... She was not in a condition to talk; she is old and unwell. As per the orders of the department, I filled out the form and began the process of removing her name. Her passport is of 1956, and she got her visa in 1958. She is from Pakistan... The next step of the investigation will be carried out by the department... I had received a notice from the Home Ministry on 11 August."

She is Nila Das, 70 year old #Hindu. She had migrated from #Bangladesh in 1971. Her husband passed away 20 years back. She lives with her two sons, the property is not on her name. She always had a voter card and later an Aadhaar. She was called for #SIR hearing. 8 hours later she left the camp after submitting her only proof - Aadhaar that #ElectionCommission says is not a proof good enough to prove you are an #Indian. Her parents had migrated too from BD. They had voter cards since 1995 but their names are not there on the 2002 list. They are dead. So mapping of Nila Das hasn’t happened. I heard the officer asked her to get her parents’ voter list from 1995 or any other year before 2002. That’s not available on ECI website. And at 70 she is expected to do all of this. Cry for Bangladeshi Hindus but spare a thought for her too. Harassment of people is for real - irrespective of religion Location: Bongaon #Bengal

Hera Pheri of nearly 70000 voters in Dharavi’s Voter List! Following the clear direction of our leader Jannayak Rahul Gandhi ji, Dharavi Congress has been carefully examining every page of the voter list to check #VoteChori. What we found is shocking. Across Dharavi, 6000 to 10000 voters per ward have been quietly shifted from their original ward to some other ward altogether. Entire neighbourhoods like Social Nagar, for example, have been moved to distant wards with no logical connection. If this were a small mix up between adjoining wards, it could be understood. But this is systematic shifting to far-off wards. The intention is clear. Confuse voters. Create chaos. Ensure people reach their usual booths on polling day only to discover their names missing. We visited WARD GN BMC and formally lodged our protest against this. There's more! The forms that are provided right now for objections and suggestions are only meant for individual entries. There is no mechanism to report a mass displacement of voters. We were told to submit individual forms for each of the 6000 to 10000 shifted voters per ward. How is anyone supposed to file 10000 forms in a matter of days? This is bureaucracy being weaponised. This is the Election Commission turning “process is the punishment” into policy. We firmly believe this is a deliberate attempt to frustrate Dharavi’s voters and misuse these discrepancies for #VoteChori.
