JUST IN: Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in North Korea for a summit with dictator Kim Jong-un. This is the first time the Russian president has visited North Korea since 2000, 24 years ago. Putin is planning on signing agreements with Kim Jong-Un to "deepen a relationship" between the two countries. The move comes as Russia and North Korea continue to strengthen their relationship as Russia continues with their invasion of Ukraine. So interesting 🤨 I read that when North Korean defectors speak publicly about how the country is governed or criticize the North Korean government, their relatives who remain in North Korea can potentially be put at risk. It made me wonder about this man’s family. Does he have family members who are still in North Korea, and if so, do we know whether they have faced any consequences because of his public interviews and criticism of the regime? via Drew Binsky
