That glass is bullet resistant, not bullet proof. That kind of glass is designed to stop up to a certain level of rounds within a limited area. For example: 3 hits from 7.62 within a 4 inch circle. In that example the glass will eventually break with more than what it was designed to stop. It also weakens the rest of the glass panel. The purpose is simply to momentarily give you time to duck and/or flee. It's not like the movies where the glass stops hundreds of rounds without breaking.
