Yes, the filibuster can make legislating difficult. But it doesn’t give Senate Republicans an excuse to give up on the SAVE America Act just because there aren’t currently 60 votes for the bill. We should return to it immediately—and stay on it until it passes.

Senate Republicans finally got 50 votes for the Save America Act and VP Vance’s vote would make 51! But it can’t pass because Senate Republicans don’t have the courage to override the filibuster and actually pass the election integrity bill that Americans are demanding! The filibuster 60 vote rule is a self imposed rule that they can easily override, but refuse to. The Republican controlled Senate is absolutely spineless and worthless. Democrats will definitely override the filibuster when they gain the majority in the Senate.

We can argue about the military funding (I think Trump can and must rebuild our military to be as cutting edge as possible), but the Save America Act is a MUST. Susan Collins just flipped, so Republicans have 50 votes. PASS IT. Get rid of the zombie filibuster, which isn't even a law. It’s just a Senate “rule.” WE HAVE THE VOTES.
