100% 👏🏼 we make sacrifices for me to be able to stay home. I hardly ever get my hair done, I never get my nails done, I seldom buy new clothes, I thrift most of what we need for clothes, books, home stuff, etc. Day care is also so expensive that it wouldn’t be worth it for me to work full time in order to cover the cost and be away from my child all day and only get to spend a few hours with her that would also only be spent getting her ready, feeding her dinner and putting her to bed. Especially if you want to find a reputable daycare or childcare provider! I’d much rather make some sacrifices and stay home with my kids. You’re right, it is a cultural problem. I know women even in Canada where maternity leave is typically 1 year long who have sent their babies to daycare before the year is up because they want to go back to work. A lot of them don’t need to - they want to.

Yup this is 100% true! Being a parent is all about making sacrifices. There’s nothing wrong with living frugally for a few years and it doesn’t mean that you will have to live that way for the rest of your life either.

Confused by your financial reports? You’re not alone. Financial clarity transforms overwhelming spreadsheets into actionable insights. With the right guidance, you’ll know where every dollar is going...and where it should be going instead. What's the most effective tool you've used to simplify your financial insights?

There are also potential gains from home cooking as well

Yes it’s so much healthier

The bad guys won WW2

I love how aware you are for so young! Seriously kudos beautiful. And yes it’s possible to make work. Generally not living in a city is much cheaper. Cooking food at home like you said. Working just to pay for someone else to raise your kids isn’t it. Homeschooling is the superior method when public schools are so awful and private too expensive. Even a private online one with supplementing the education. Buying used cars and never paying to get something new unless it’s absolutely necessary. For clothes often families will pass on hand me downs if say one cousin is a bit older and grew out of the clothes. Women expecting to go out to eat for meals very often should be a red flag prior to marriage. Alcohol a useless expense as well as anything else toxic for one’s body.

All very true!!!

Make this a regular podcast episode please. I want to listen to more of what you say

Now I am more envious of your future son than I am envious of your boyfriend because I wish I had an angel like you raising me.

I detest spreadsheets anyway
