I have said it a number of times. Everything changed after “Occupy Wall Street”. Growing up in the 80’s & 90’s I NEVER saw the amount of division you see today. OWS was the first & last time that the “99%” started organizing together to talk about institutional power and the massive discrepancy between the haves & have nots. The “wealthy class” had to put an end to that immediately. It was following OWS that the MSM started a non stop campaign of racial & ideological division across all media platforms. Politicians, the MSM, the super wealthy made it priority #1 to fracture the 99% into small, hyper politicized groups to fight each other and take away attention from them robbing us all blind.
Context for those claiming it was a racist statement from LBJ. Who he was initially vs who he evolved into shows growth. And the comment itself is credited as a reaction to racism he and his aide witnessed in Tennessee.
