In continuation of the agency's clean up enforcement operation to rid the State of criminal elements, the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce set out at about 0020hrs on 10th January, 2026, and embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation on the Mainland area of the State. The team observed the entire road, along Akowonjo by Cele busstop has been converted to beer parlor, drug peddling at different level taking place and presence of criminal elements. During the clean up operation, the team ensured the entire area was completely cleared of violation of the State environmental laws and ward off criminal activities. All chairs and tables and other items spread all over the road, preventing free flow of traffic were all seized.
