Visa related issues pertain to the Sovereign Domain of any country, we have flagged these issues and our concerns to the US side, both here in New Delhi and in Washington, DC... This mass funeral was held for 112 members of the Al-Hasayna and Abu Sharia families in Gaza City, killed in an Israeli strike on 23 November 2023. That strike reportedly killed over 300 Palestinians. This is a chilling illustration of a pattern of Israeli attacks wiping out entire multi-generational families. It has taken so long for rescue teams to dig up the remains due to restrictions imposed by Israel on the entry of equipment required to remove the rubble of destroyed buildings, under which thousands of bodies remain trapped. Israeli authorities must urgently allow UN bodies and human rights investigators to access Gaza to preserve evidence, as ordered by the International Court of Justice.

On this International Human Rights Day, BYC Central Member Sammi Deen Baloch states that Balochistan continues to face one of the gravest human rights crises of our time. Decades of systematic violence, fear, and repression have left deep psychological and socio-political wounds on the people of Balochistan. The suffering of the people of Balochistan remains largely ignored by the international community and by those organisations that call themselves champions of human rights. According to the BYC Human Rights Department, enforced disappearances have reached alarming levels, with 1,080 cases reported this year alone, including 53 minors. Disturbingly, Pakistani authorities are now targeting women and girls; 12 girls were forcibly disappeared in 2025, of whom three remain missing, and 189 extrajudicial killings were reported, including six women. Pakistani military operations, drone attacks, mortar shelling, artillery fire, and other assaults have become daily practices of the rogue paramilitary forces, resulting in the displacement of entire villages and small towns across the province. She highlights that human rights activists are the beacon of hope for oppressed people. Yet in Balochistan, human rights defenders are threatened, charged in fabricated cases, and hundreds of students and teachers face false accusations and FIRs for peaceful activism. Freedom of speech and expression is treated as a crime.
