Gavin Newsom wants to steal FIVE Republican House seats. We already have Democrat-gerrymandered districts. Now Newsom wants ultra-rigged districts. His scheme is illegal. If he goes ahead I will seek an injunction to block it. As governor I will restore independent districting and fair representation. That would mean an extra TWELVE House seats for Republicans from California.

Yesterday 38 Republicans killed a bill in the Senate to give women the right to contraception. Republicans are attempting to argue that it should be left up to the states to decide, not the federal government. Remember when Republicans wanted the federal government to outlaw same-sex marriage? Remember when many republicans wanted the federal government to ban internet gambling? Recall how many Republicans support federal prohibition on marijuana? So why was it OK for the Federal government to ban gambling, marijuana, and same-sex marriage, but when it comes to women having a right to contraception (birth control) it should be left to the states to decide?
