Yesterday Speaker Ryan Fecteau was required to turn my voting device back on following the Supreme Court ruling. I look forward to voting tomorrow, when we are back in session, on behalf of my 9,000 constituents, who have had their voices silenced for the last three months.

Idk if it's possible, but someone should sue this Fecteau guy for taking away their votes for 3 months. He needs to GO!

And he should be forced to add your vote to ANY legislation that has gone through since so your positions can be on record. Also he needs to be removed and if there is any other legal recourse, that needs to be done as well. Keep up the good fight! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

We are here because people didn't fully understand why their votes counted. Why sitting out elections has consequences, and how voting based on excitement is harmful. Now here we are, with not only a conservative Supreme Court, but a Supreme Court hell-bent on taking away progress. Voting Rights Act ensured that Black people had a voice. That we were represented. The Supreme Court has limited it. This does not mean stop voting. It means that we have to register more people to vote, we have to overwhelm the system. #DemsUnited

Attorney General Miyares Issues Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Stay of Ruling on Non-Citizen Voting When this began, I promised Virginians we would take this case all the way to the U.S Supreme Court if necessary. Today, I am pleased to report the Court granted our request for an emergency stay. This ruling ensures that – with less than a week before the elections – Virginians can vote with confidence knowing Virginians will be choosing our elected officials. I am grateful that the Supreme Court recognized the importance of this issue and issued its decision in such a short time frame. This ruling is a win for election integrity and the rule of law. While I am gratified the Court moved so quickly, I remain deeply concerned and alarmed that the Biden-Harris administration chose to execute this maneuver just 25 days before an election. Today’s ruling is a reaffirmation of our commitment to election integrity, and I look forward to ensuring that our electoral process remains secure for all Virginians. My heartfelt thanks goes out to our entire team at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, and all of those who tirelessly worked to present our best possible case on behalf of the Commonwealth. My further thanks is extended to the 26 fellow attorneys general who stood in unity with Virginia in this case. Pritzker: The decision by the Supreme Court today on the Voting Rights Act is an abomination. It is an attack on a crown jewel of our democracy. Illinois is the proud home to having sent more black congresspeople to Washington than any other state in the country. The decision that was made today by SCOTUS about the Voting Rights Act is an attack on minorities across this country. We're not going to stand for it in Illinois. We're going to push back. We have options for pushing back. And that is under discussion with the legislature even today. I talked to lawyers this morning, people who are experts in this, who've said that everything that we have in Illinois now is constitutional, even under the new ruling. I'm sure there will be people who try to attack it. But the reality is that if you read through the Supreme Court decision, I'm told that it validates the maps that are already in place. And of course, we'll be looking at a new remap in Illinois in 2031.

Jeff Clark: I was watching Marc Elias’ podcast, where he was over the moon about his own lawsuit, patting himself on the back for having filed it in D.C. yesterday to try to stop the use of armed agents at the polls to check whether illegal aliens are voting. So he went from the height of joy in the morning to the depths of depression with this Supreme Court decision. I say it’s great for the country. Jeff Clark
