Yaxel Lendeborg says acting was his intended college major and he’s hoping to find acting gigs in San Francisco: “I acted in a play in high school. The play was Elf. I was gonna go to college for acting, for theater and stuff like that. So when I actually got to college, that was my major. Kind of switched plans a little bit because of the basketball thing, but I would love to be an actor. Be in a musical if I need to. When I’m in San Francisco, hopefully I can find some little gig to get on, and hopefully somebody can put me in a movie.”

Today was my final walkout from high school…. and this is just my beginning. I finished as an early graduate with a 4.0 GPA, completing 65+ college credits and earning my associate’s degree while in high school. I was selected as the Sterling Scholar in Mathematics and I am ranked first in my class of 640. I am a 6’6” OT BYU Football Commit Student-Athlete, with the same work ethic in the class room as I have on the field…. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for the opportunities I’ve been given, for my teachers, my coaches, and for my parents and siblings and their support. College football player MicahJo Barnett has sadly passed away moments after he scored a touchdown in Liberty, Missouri. The game was suspended after Barnett reportedly collapsed on the sidelines. Barnett was taken by an ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. “William Jewell College and the Liberty community mourn the passing of MicahJo Barnett. Our thoughts and prayers are with MicahJo’s family, teammates, friends, coaches, and faculty and staff,” William Jewell said. Devastating. Pray for his family.
