I have an opinion that uber, bolt or whatever e-hailing should suspend and not operate is certain areas like Westbury, Eldos, Langa, Vaal etc until that community sort out their communities because some know who these thugs are... they'll be forced to act against these thugs

@ManyovuG It's high time bazalwane. Uber / ehailing drivers must do something. This is the only option for now. I personally know people who install these, they can DM me.

I once requested an Uber from Orlando to Melville and trip was cancelled 7 times before someone accepted. I don’t blame them shame

As long as the video is there l trust the power of the internet before this coming Sunday they will be caught 🤧

Most of these videos show the importance of a dashcam because without them most of these people would get away with crime 👏

Being an ehailing driver is risky lately

@Orkney_Said There's a reason why taxis in New York have a partition between drivers and passengers. And why no pax in front next to the driver.

why would you go pick 4 guys that look suspicious for a ride?? whatever price that ride was

@hitfirm All this commotion for a phone pathetic criminals 🚮

Only option rn, people are suffering from this hood rats

The most unfortunate thing is in the next request, he won’t even know the history will repeat itself or not, while at the same time he needs that money 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽😭😭😭

Yoh everyday and every week mxm

So when you pick up 4 people at once as an ehailing driver does it means you get 4 times your request fee? Because no one should be picking up 4 people at once, that on its own is a recipe for disaster.

They will start treating customers bad... We must not blame them.

Picking up 4 colored dudes and one is wearing a UZZI makes you one very brave and stupid dude

When such situations, please DONT fight back, give them the phone or whatever they want... your life is more important than a phone or car

@Uber_RSA , @boltapp what’s your plan to tackle this ? Are you working on something to protect your drivers ? I say for one cancel cash payments Secondly let riders details be as transparent as the driver We should be using our ID’s on the app

@LondieMd Avoid certain areas, for safety rather decline the ride if it's more than 2 men

How many more of these videos do we need to see before @Uber and @boltapp actually put real safety barriers in these cars? They take their cut every trip but leave the drivers to deal with this alone. Disgraceful

Wise driver; he didn’t fight back and risk his life for a phone. Other Uber drivers should learn from him.

Hai kabi neh,but picking up 4 men?😭😭You had no fighting chance, men in groups must take 2 Ubers, and no one should sit in you’re back seat, rather put the seat far back so they can’t sit🤨🤨

@Nelishange89 Department of Transport and @boltapp @Uber_RSA should make sure riders use their Identity numbers or passport numbers to create a profile. Thieves are using that loophole. Until then, drivers and passengers are going to be victims.

Taxi drivers are involved in it i just don't have proof yet

Ehailing is under serious attack

@Orkney_Said If these boys are from area, deal with them. Because, eHailing services will simply stop servicing your area if you don't discipline the nyaopes in your area.

Im starting to suspect taxi drivers now

How about video call, after approving the ride? Both parties must verify, verify the driver and verify the passenger. We will be both Safe and less attack. I believe in doing so it might help, let's be technical, bolt/e -hailing/Uber/Maxim need to upgrade in technology

@uMashonisa_ZA Ain’t no way I would ever pick up a group of passengers with one wearing an UZZI

E-hailing drivers need to stop taking a group of black and coloured men. It’s not like they pay per head. If you arrive and see more than one man just lock your doors and leave.

That Uzzi top is a warning sign, hier kom groot kak!

They are easy targets.

Attention e hailing drivers! Stop picking up a lot of people! Picking up 4 males who are supposed to request an XL a seven seater! Sometimes you guys put yourselves in unnecessary risks. Be street smart

I don’t know why but for some reason in Mzansi once one incident happens, many more will follow.

Time for a bakkie with seats in the back (like game driving vehicles, just enclosed). Add spring-loaded blades underneath the body if they approach your front windows. Or a flamethrower. Sounds good but unfortunately it will cost you a fortune....

@LMakhetloane Forget about areas where e-hailing attacks are happening. The recurring theme, which is a red flag that e-hailing drivers are supposed to be cognizant of, is allowing multiple passengers in your car. especially MEN. Why aren't they taking reasonable steps to mitigate this RISK?🤓
