There were in fact electricians in chat. Anyway, sadly I don’t know exactly how it was fixed, as the landlord organized the electrician. However; it wasn’t a problem on my floor, it was something on the floor below that was causing issues, so they were able to fix it without doing anything on my floor. I know that may not be a satisfying answer for those of you who this post intrigued, or maybe it adds to the puzzle :p Anyway, cheers!
