NGL, had their sketch not stayed in place until they started coloring I would have thought they didn't trace this time. Moving the sketch around while you trace is a big no no. Flipping made it a bit more believable, good job there.

I find it interesting that their phone died right where they finished the lineart and started coloring, which in my timelapse it's where I close PureRef as it's not needed for coloring...

And they can suddenly move the canvas around too 🤔

Damn some people go really out of their way to scam their audience to believe they are not tracing slob. Thanks for showing off their scam techniques 🤣 This is honestly really funny how far some people are willing to go

I would say the hardest part was fighting my muscle memory that was trying to make me actually draw.

When it comes to art, unless I see 75 layers, the same line control+z 18 times, a random frustrated scribble, the opening of another canvas to just "warm up", and starting to flat color before finishing the line art cause you got sick of it, I'm not going to believe time laspes.

Always suspected it, the speedpaints confirmed it to me, it's all traced Watched the other speedpaints at 0.25x they move the sketch sometimes in those, but each time is moved there is a tab out, a delay, and a tab in, every time then in color/shading they move and zoom a lot

is it even common just doing the details from the get go without even having a skeleton?

For tracers anything is possible, even starting from the tail, or a hand, or the hair. or-

It really sucks drawing like that. I can only imagine myself doing it while sketching a thumbnail, anything more complex than that would be absolute suffering.

Hidden PureRef window (with OBS you can choose which windows to show). Record it and play it at full screen on the monitor. This only works if you don't show your hands and tablet, and if your fans will believe just about anything you show them.

So how long till we see a story of someone faking a live stream?

If they follow similar steps to this their then it's easy to spot. I think their only option is actually drawing using references and praying it looks as good as their tracings. And if they take requests on stream they're fucked.
