Tom Holland says Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield had it easier with the Spider-Man suit Interviewer: Tom, what’s the worst thing about wearing a Spider-Man suit for 12 hours? Tom Holland: The worst thing is definitely the smell. You spend 12 hours in that thing, in a deep lunge, jumping up and down all day. That shit stinks. We did a really interesting exercise in pre-production where I tried on Tobey’s suit, Andrew’s suit, and my original suits. We sat down with the producers, Destin, and the costume department, and spoke about the things we all loved about those original costumes. The idea behind this suit was to make an homage to the things we loved about them. From a logistical point of view, Andrew and Tobey had it way easier than I had it. They had zips in different places, they could use the bathroom, they could take their mask off by themselves, they could take their gloves off. Zendaya: Take their gloves off… Tom Holland: For the fourth iteration of this character, it was the first time I could comfortably go to the bathroom. Interviewer: Could you drink with the mask on? Tom Holland: On this movie, I could take it off. In the previous movie, it was so tight that to take the mask off, you’d have to take the top off. This movie gave us a lot more freedom. One of the really awesome things we discovered while shooting was these new lenses. In certain light, you can actually see my eyes underneath the mask. Destin said, “I love being able to see that there is actually someone beneath that suit.” It really humanizes the superhero. Zendaya: I love the imperfections of the suit. It wrinkles, it moves, and you can see your ears a little, your jaw movement. I love those details. Tom Holland: With this new suit, we did away with that 3D printing element. It allowed me to be so much more flexible, and the suit was much stretchier. So it was definitely a comfier experience.

Robin Williams on the moment he relapsed after 20 years sober: The legendary comedian sat down for an interview and opened up about his decades-long battle with alcohol and cocaine, including the moment he broke a 20-year stretch of sobriety in 2010. When asked why he fell off, Robin describes a strange, almost out-of-body moment in a remote town: "I was in a little town in Alaska. It wasn't the end of the world, but you can see it from there. And it was like all of a sudden I thought I could drink. It's also that same thought you have if you look off a large building and go, 'I can fly.' And within a week it was like, gone, you know? And now, you know, I realize I can't. So that was the gift." Robin's history with substances went back decades. When asked if he could remember falling into the trap of cocaine and alcohol in the first place, his answer was striking: "I don't vividly remember anything from... it's like there is this thing for alcoholics called a blackout, which isn't really a blackout; it's more like sleepwalking with activities." He describes the blackout with his signature dark humour: "I believe it's your conscience going into a witness protection program going, 'You're about to have sex with a hobbit. I've got to go now. Good luck. I'm checking out. I'm leaving the body on, but we're not going to remember anything. Good luck to you, take care.'" What's remarkable is that Robin originally quit cocaine on his own, without any help, for a reason that had nothing to do with himself: "I remember stopping it on my own because I was about to have a son and I didn't want to be coked up going, 'Hey, dad loves you, here's a little switch, I'm going to throw up on you.' You don't want to be like that." The death of his close friend John Belushi from an overdose shook him, but Robin says fatherhood was the real turning point: "Totally. And that, but more importantly my son. I think that was the beginning of kind of, you know, thinking outside the box of, 'You've got a responsibility and it's more than you.'" When asked why he ever needed cocaine in the first place, given his already legendary speed and energy, Robin offered a surprising explanation: "I think I did it because it would actually allow me not to talk. It was like, you know, reverse medication. I want to give Ritalin to hyperactive children. It's that idea of kind of, 'Oh, okay, I don't have to talk to people.' It just kind of shuts you down, which is a, you know, word: self-medication." After his relapse in Alaska, breaking the grip the second time around required something he hadn't needed the first time: surrender. "Not hard once you go to rehab… the idea is you gotta surrender. You gotta just say, 'I can't do it.' Because, you know, I went to rehab with a lot of doctors and psychiatrists, and the more intelligent you think you are, the harder it is to let go." Robin captures the trap of intelligence perfectly: "Everything: 'I've got a solution, I'll just drink a little bit.' It's like saying, 'I'll just partially circumcise myself, I'll be fine.' And then you have to go, 'Nope, you lose. You can't do it. You need help.' And at that point, that's the beginning." Even after 20 years of sobriety, one quiet thought in a remote town was enough to undo it all. And the way back wasn't through willpower or intellect, but through admitting he couldn't do it alone.

Hi City of Edmonton and Edmonton Office of the Mayor! Remember when you told us #Accessibility was a priority? It looks like you weren't telling the truth. We even made you a video explaining it. A few hundred meters from our home is a pharmacy, a butcher, a store where I can get a carton of milk or loaf of bread, but for TEN DAYS they haven't been accessible because of city operations. Today is the first day we could safely get to the bus stop but we still can't get that extra little bit to those businesses. Why? Well we waited the 3 days (already and unreasonably long time to go without access) the city gives themselves to clear this section of sidewalk, and then crew actually made it worse, creating impassable piles of snow blocking sections. They never came back to fix it. The 8°C weather finally did what your city managers couldn't do. Clear most of the snow. But your plow blocked half the sidewalk up ahead. The other side of the sidewalk is blocked by deep ruts in an alley that crosses the sidewalk. Technically that section of sidewalk would be the city's responsibility but it's never been cleared. It's almost like you want us to just take our wheelchairs on the road. In fact, if I order that milk or bread for delivery, you punish me with a $2 bag fee because of your single use plastics by-law. Weird how nowhere on the city website is there information on how to apply for an exemption as a bag for delivery would be a reasonable accommodation, especially when you're the reason I can't access the milk or bread. I really look forward to your response. I'd take the issue to my own city councilor but I don't believe Michael Janz is capable of representing disabled constituents. He doesn't return calls about accessibility and he's openly promoted the exclusion of disabled people. So I'm counting on you, Mr. Sohi, to address the issue. As World War IIl ramps up worldwide, I went to war yesterday afternoon with a Bristow and Sutor enforcement officer deep state minion who regretted coming to my property very quickly. As soon as I asked for a copy of the liability order, she backed away. No enforcement officer can provide a liability order, because none exist from a court. Like I say, North Yorkshire Council cannot provide any lawful documentation stating that I have to pay council tax. I asked them a year ago and I’m still waiting. I will be taking this further. It has been two years since I last saw Ilene in person. Two years ago, I received a package from DCF stating that I was “not safe” to be around my own daughter. I remember that day with painful clarity. As I read those papers, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. My hands were shaking. Tears streamed down my face, and I could not stop crying. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like to show my tears. I never have—especially in front of my children. Well, since that day, only one child remained with me: my son. Derek witnessed something he had never seen before. He watched me break. He hugged me, trying to comfort me, while I struggled and failed to hide my emotions. Because when you read official documents accusing you of “abuse” and “neglect,” filed by a so-called mandatory reporter—Aaron Miller—you understand something immediately and viscerally: at that moment, you have lost your daughter. The daughter who was the apple of your eye. Your hope. Your pride. Your love. You realize that the child you cherished every minute with has been turned against you. That she despises you—not because of who you are, but because the world taught her to. The system taught her to. As I sit here now, remembering that day, I realize that was the moment I lost Ilene. At the time, I didn’t know that I would soon lose her completely—that she would take her own life. But I knew then. When I read those DCF papers, I knew she was gone. There are no words to describe that feeling: mourning your child while she is still alive. Knowing your child does not want you around. Knowing you are grieving someone who still breathes. That was also the moment I began to understand how this system has been abusing thousands upon thousands of families across this country. How deeply traumatized parents are when the state inserts itself between a child and a loving family. I’ve heard the stories—parents who took their own lives after the system took their children away. This approach is not humane. It is devastating. History has seen this before. In Nazi Germany, families were torn apart under the authority of the state. Teen Jewish girls in Auschwitz were subjected to hormone experiments by Nazi scientists. What was happening then was “legal” under their laws. Legality did not make it moral. What is happening in the United States today—when children are taken from families because they are not “affirmed”—is also considered “legal.” It was legal when Aaron Miller filed that complaint against me. After World War II, those crimes were judged under new laws, and those responsible were held accountable—even though their actions had been legal at the time. Legality did not protect them. Compliance did not absolve them. “Following the rules” did not excuse the harm. I believe that one day our laws will change as well. That what is now labeled “neglect” or “abuse” will be recognized for what it truly is. The question remains: Will accountability come even if the harm was carried out in accordance with the law? Will punishment follow even when the system itself authorized and rewarded it? Will those who tore families apart be held responsible? Will those who pushed vulnerable youth toward irreversible medical interventions face consequences? Will mandatory reporters, DCF workers, and others who benefited from this system be forced to answer for what they did? History suggests that legality has never been the final judge.

I'm seeing some odd reactions to the HBC news. My opinion of the role that HBC played is bullish..!! Dismissed with Prejudice, just says, don't come around trying to sue people after this emergence takes place. Because the ones who have the most to lose will make an attempt. Consider it post emergence protection from frivolous lawsuit filers. The company had to go into Ch 11 bankruptcy protection, to have any chance of returning $$ to all of their stakeholders. As opposed to the people driving it into the dirt, wanted the company to go into Chapter 7 and be dead forever. I can't think of a better, legal way to control their timeline and destiny via the share price to get them there. And the timeline was controlled on the debtors' watch, not the other way around. Remember, my recent post of how many documents were filed on the petition date of April 23, 2023 for this voluntary Chapter 11..? And how many more were filed the day after on April 24, 2023 for the first day hearing..? You do remember that morning of April 23, 2023 was a Sunday. Woke up, checking on things, and saying to yourself, welp, here we go. I remember. 42 intricately detailed court filings on April 23, 2023, and a total of 80 filings by the end of the day on April 24, 2023 which was also the first day hearing. This Ch 11 Reorganization was planned. And it was planned well in advance of HBC getting involved, imo. The plan was to disassemble this horribly run business, neglected infrastructure (as RC would say "Underinvestment in their Technology Stack"), and start over... I am sure there were some audibles being called along the way, like.. "oh crap, look at the fraud.." But, imo, that is another bullish indicator that shareholders are going to make it. Why..? Because if you had offered $400M to buy that piece of crap, and on top of that, have a legal bill of over $100M (just a guess, it is probably more), not to mention, the analysts and MSM making up lies, and dragging your family's name through the dirt, I would hope you would do the same thing. Jam it down their throat, and let the World know, you come after me, you are going to pay. And if RC comes calling, you'd better pick up the damn phone. There is a new sheriff in town, and he is not fucking around. So for those MSM spies, and worthless shills working for the morons who made a bad bet, take this post, and shove it up your ass. Imagine opening up about your life and your experiences, only for those same experiences to become something someone uses to ridicule you. So when Biggie asked Yusuf about his connections in the house, what exactly was he supposed to call that? Was he supposed to pretend everything was perfect? Was he supposed to describe a connection as deep when he personally didn't feel that depth? Yusuf was answering a question about HIS experience. He never said they were bad people. In fact, he specifically acknowledged that they were good people. He simply said he didn't enjoy having certain conversations with them because he felt they didn't connect with him on a deeper level. And somehow, that has been twisted into Yusuf believing he is better than everyone else. It is even more painful because Yusuf has never pretended to come from a life of privilege. When these Housemates sit down and talk about their lives, their families, their relationships, their struggles and their experiences, Yusuf is allowed to talk about his own life too. If your life has been easier, beautiful. If you have had opportunities Yusuf didn't have, beautiful. If you didn't have to struggle for certain things, you are blessed. But please don't assume that because you didn't experience something, somebody else must be lying about experiencing it. Yusuf has spoken about where he comes from because it is part of his story. He has spoken about the struggles, the sacrifices, the auditions, the doors that didn't open and the few that finally did. He even spoke about getting an audition with Ruth Kadiri in March and how that opportunity became significant in his journey. He isn't saying he suffered the most. He is saying, “This is MY story.” And nobody should have to apologise for telling their own story simply because someone else finds it uncomfortable. Yusuf came into Biggie’s House with a dream. A dream to be seen, to showcase his talent and to change his circumstances. He isn't asking for pity. He is asking for a chance. So before you judge his words, watch the context. Before you call him arrogant, watch what happened before that Diary Session. Before you decide that his story is a lie, remember that you were not there for the life he lived before Biggie’s House. As they set out on their new journey, we stood together. LEAD WITH LOVE Commencement Address Hertie School 2025 By the Former President of Mongolia, ELBEGDORJ Tsakhia Thank you to the Deans, faculty, proud families, and most of all, to the graduating class of Hertie School 2025. I have come here from more than 9,000 kilometers away to say: Congratulations, Class of 2025. When I say Class of 2025, I feel your energy! In my country, when we have this kind of celebration, we shout together: “ “Uukhai! Uukhai!” It means: Yes! We are here. Let’s go! I think the whole world should know, you are here and ready. So let’s try it together: Class of 2025! “Uukhai! Uukhai!” Yes! That’s what I’m talking about. That’s the spirit! And that spirit tells us something true: You are never too young to lead. And, we are never too old to learn. What an honor it is to share this moment with you. I was born in western Mongolia, the youngest of eight children in a sheep herder’s family. I grew up in the sharp winds of socialism, but wrapped in the deep warmth of my parents’ compassion and love, as many of you are here today. Our home stood in a long valley, surrounded by mountains. When the wind picked up, and it always did, my father would rush to fasten our ger and then ride out to help the neighbors. He moved like an arrow with wings, his horse flying across the steppe. When the storm passed and no one lost their homes, people came to thank him. I still remember the quiet pride in his smile. From those days, I learned one idea: Every good thing begins with you and grows with the help of others. Now, it is your turn. You are about to begin your journey. In my country, we have an old saying; Always listen to your mother. The mother is always right. My father was a soldier and an infantryman during the war. Five summers and five autumns. With only that one letter in her hands and hope in her heart. One evening, from the sunset side across the dusty plain, a horseman appeared. That was my father. Dear Class of 2025, “Uukhai, Uukhai” Many of you will now enter public life and work in policy, governance, or advocacy. Let me share this truth: Public service is not about power. It is about people. It is about giving more than you take. It is about helping others rise, just as others once helped you. Imagine the people providing you with everything, including their support, hope, and vote. Now, it is your turn to give back. Give people more rights. More opportunities. More freedom. When the people succeed, you succeed. My country, Mongolia, has been the only vibrant democracy between Russia and China since 1990. Our people rose for freedom after a long, hard winter, cracking through snow and ice. We did not spill a single drop of blood in our peaceful revolution. We brought democracy to one of the world’s most remote places. Today, Mongolia’s democratic example shines like a northern star across Eurasia’s vast and uncertain skies. Thanks to my people’s trust, I became Prime Minister at thirty-five. I rushed to tell my mother, who was in her eighties. “Mom,” I said, “I became Prime Minister.” She paused. “What is a Prime Minister?” She was unfamiliar with the term. In her time, leaders were called Secretaries General or Politburo members. I tried to explain. My mother listened, then said: “Whatever it is, be grateful for your people. Work hard.” That has guided me ever since. I believe every heartbeat carries a call for freedom. God has planted in every human heart the desire to live free. Even if that desire is crushed for a while, it rises again. In Mongolia, we speak not only for our freedom but also for the freedom of others. When I was in office, I had the opportunity to lecture at Kim Il-sung University in North Korea. They agreed on one condition: I must not mention three words: “Democracy, Human Rights, Market Economy.” So I did not say those words in my lecture. Instead, I titled my talk: “No Dictatorship Lasts Forever.” That title cost me my meeting with the “Dear Leader.” But later, I was told that South Korean freedom activists had picked up my speech. They had flown it again into the North by air balloon. Words can travel farther than we imagine. You must master them. Words have more power than any other human innovation. One day, you may speak the truth in places it is forbidden. When you deal with autocrats, you must always put their people first. Dictators rarely listen to others but fear their people’s voices and awareness. Europe, too, has shown the power of humanity. When war returned to Ukraine, Europe showed the best of itself. You welcomed millions of mothers and children by opening your homes, hospitals, and schools. You even paid in advance for buses, cars, and everything else they needed. You did not wait to be asked. You helped. That is Europe at its best. Europe has become the warm heart of humanity. You are at your best when you care and share with others. This brutal war has also been harsh on ethnic minorities inside Russia. They have been sent to the frontlines as cannon fodder. When Russia announced its first mobilization, I called on young Russian men, especially minorities. I asked them to escape death through the Mongols’ embrace and come to Mongolia. Tens of thousands did. If one less man holds a gun against Ukraine, we count that as our contribution to peace in Europe. Mongolians have a saying: “The good in history is my teacher and the bad in history is my teacher.” History has taught us this: In today’s world, war has become obsolete. Every issue, no matter how difficult, can be resolved peacefully through dialogue, negotiation, and understanding. As Nelson Mandela once said, “The most powerful weapon is to sit down and talk.” Today, we are no longer voiceless. We have these tools to express our concerns, grievances, and truths. But even now, some still reach for old maps to justify new aggression. President Putin once cited a Russian imperial map to claim that Ukraine belonged to his empire. Then, I responded with a map of the Great Mongol Empire. And I wrote on Twitter: “After Putin’s talk, I found a Mongolian historical map. Don’t worry. We are a peaceful and free nation.” That single post reached more than twelve million people worldwide. (Please follow me on “X.”) Dear Class of 2025, This is the world we live in now, where words and knowledge can fly farther than missiles. We live in a new renaissance, when ideas are created and shared at a scale and speed unimaginable in any earlier age. But in this fast-moving world, the most critical battlefield you will ever face is yourself. If you want to serve, first, serve your conscience. If you want to build a better world, make a better you. Character is not a gift. It is something you practice every day. Build a ‘hope habit.’ Leadership is not a title; it is a decision you make in silence and noise, in crisis and calm. So first, become the person you would want to follow. I began today by speaking of compassion. Now, let us make this moment unforgettable. Please, close your eyes. Imagine someone who loves you deeply. See their face and feel their presence. Imagine them, they are next to you. Take a slow, deep breath. Quietly, in your heart, say to them: “I love you.” Now, open your eyes. Breathe that love in. Let it fill you. Let it stay with you.
