Sometimes it’s not that people are atheists. Sometimes it’s the pain that is speaking. But the love of Christ meets you right there, in the midst of your pain. He says ‘come as you are’…broken, angry, ashamed… come as you are and He will love you back to wholeness.

There is a gentleman who stands outside one of our local stores, speaking into a microphone with scripture being heard very loudly. Some people have gotten upset. He isn’t causing any harm. He is a man who lost his wife to cancer and their only son to a drunk driver. I found out on a 90° day. I brought him a cold water. That’s how I found out. This is his way of coping with loss.

Got my heart. Fake or not. I know that feeling very well. I held christ accountable for all the bs in my life. It doesn't work that way brother's and sister. Our time here is very short, we are eternal beings. Learn to love the one who loves you.
