I know there has always been anti-Muslim rhetoric but I have never seen it in this high level constellation - the Government, Opposition, the Speaker of the House, sections of the media, all conspiring to give cover to Israel. Very dangerous. THIS is the UK I don't recognise.

Don’t agree with Andy on this. There is a lot of antisemitism not being called out particularly in relation to the support for the Palestinians in Gaza. Now our politicians are threatened with violence and a response to this is muted.

On the antisemitism "task forces" established at the most prestigious universities in the US: "When they create anti-Semitism commissions to study anti-Semitism on campus, which are basically designed to keep politicians & donors & Jewish organizations happy, they can't hire their own Jewish faculty who study anti-Semitism to be on the anti-Semitism task force... ...because these people actually know too much about anti-Semitism ... and what really is and isn't anti-Semitism. Those people get left off the committee. So at the University of Pennsylvania the guy who was in charge of the anti-Semitism task force is the head of the dental school. Sure he's a lovely man right but he's a dentist I'm sorry. At UCLA, it's a guy who studies real estate finance.
