Robot simulation is getting a big upgrade! 🔥 Normally, building a simulation environment, a kitchen, warehouse, office takes days or weeks. You have to model the geometry, add textures, set lighting, generate collision meshes… all before a robot can even interact with it. Marble by World Labs removes most of that work. You type a text prompt or give it an image, and it generates a full 3D scene with depth, lighting, and a collider mesh you can export into engines like MuJoCo. That means researchers can quickly create lots of different environments to train robots on, which is exactly what domain randomization needs. In my experience, robot 'generalists' are often jacks of all trades but masters of none. In training across multiple tasks and environments, robot policies fail to generalize robustly and effectively to each particular test setting. What if at test time, we non-parametrically *retrieved* “relevant” data from the training set and used it to significantly improve the performance of few-shot imitation learning to be robust to various test time scenes. Notably, we are *not* collecting lots of new data, just training more on sub-components of the same training data! Now, we’re certainly not the first to suggest retrieval, but in our new work - STRAP, we show how retrieving relevant *sub-trajectories* from offline datasets can significantly increase data reuse across tasks, when paired with an appropriate metric space. We just made the Warp API and MCP completely free. Most HR platforms make you sit through a sales call and a questionnaire just to reach your own data. We think that's backwards. You can pull your entire company and employee data, time off, compensation, payroll, IT, basically anything in Warp. Build your own dashboards. Connect Warp to your internal systems. Data center developers have to earn the trust of the communities where we build, and that starts with complete transparency. Bring your own power, be clear about water usage and emissions, create high paying jobs, and make sure the economic benefits are understood by everyone. That’s exactly what we intend to do in Box Elder. We have work to do to earn the community’s support, but the facts will be public, from water and power to jobs and tax revenue. If you want to build in a community for decades, you have a responsibility to become an asset to it.

We the people have created the demand for these data centers because we use all of these digital products that it processes, and if we don't want them, then don't use them. I mean, you can go back to the bunny ear antenna on your TV, you don't need a data center. But if you're connected to a wire, you're using the data center. So, understand, when we look in the mirror, we are the problem."
