Will do! :D

Interesting. I remember u send me that toolkit and the vm that runs base os on vm. When i was using windows.

Yeah, some managed to port HarmonyOS NEXT emulator on Linux, finding out on red note, for the link to it

I don't know nearly enough about phone emulation, but what does it take to get HarmonyOS running? Do you start with existing Android components, or is it built from scratch?

Its built from scratch, OpenHarmony-based emulator, for emulator is not using hardware OG HongMeng kernel image, uses the standard Linux kernel, since Linux kernel is open source and HongMeng kernel is not open source yet, so its a kernel fallback within Kernel Abstraction Layer

已经有ide了

That's cool

Link

I asked the author of the video on red note. Stay tuned for update on it

@Celinho_vp Huawei Developer Alliance official website: Development tool download address:

@LivingInHarmony Tanks

Neat

lol

Cooool, wanna get my hands on this

That is awesome!

helpful thanks

Amazing

noice, now where's the link?

and there is an Oniro IDE for VSCodium or VSCode

Why run something that comes from a country where surveillance is heavily practiced and loves to pirate ideas?

you tell me

You dumped US spy history and still did not answer the question. Snowden, Merkel, FISA: all real. The difference is those programs got leaked, sued, and limited in public. Huawei cannot refuse PRC intelligence work. National Intelligence Law Art. 7 and 14 require organizations to assist and stay quiet. Cybersecurity Law Article 28 requires network operators to give technical help to state security. DOJ charged Huawei with stealing T-Mobile’s Tappy robot, including walking a robot arm out in a laptop bag, plus bonuses for stolen competitor info. Huawei is on the Entity List, the FCC Covered List, and the DoD Chinese military companies list. Congress already flagged HarmonyOS itself because Huawei owns the OS, the updates, and AppGallery. US agencies being dirty does not make that legal duty disappear. If your case is “Washington did it too,” you still have not shown why this stack is safe to run.

honestly i forgot about this OS

That’s great feature

可以模拟 HyperOS 吗?

Which one? İs it next?

isn't Harmony just AOSP with Chinese caracteristics ? why would it need its own emulator ?

No Harmony is not AOSP with Chinese characteristics since NEXT, why shouldn't it have its own emulator, do you think app developers program blind fool!

I am a software engineer, I know how this works,

specs?

Is it opensource now?
