🖲️Too many African countries still rely heavily on foreign arms, leaving their security futures shaped by external interests. ⛩️But think if our continent had soldiers who are equipped by our own factories, our engineers, our youth, and our investments. 🏮At #ISCA2025, Rwanda Engineering & Manufacturing Corporation (REMCO) showcased locally made firearms proof that Africa can, and must, manufacture its own defense solutions. 🔧 22% of materials are now locally produced with the vision to make it 100%. 🏭 Building plants. 👷🏾‍♂️ Investing in technical expertise. 💰 Committing financial resources. 🌍 Responding to real-life security challenges with homegrown innovation. ⛩️Rwanda is lighting the way in small arms production. To me this is not just about weapons it’s about mindset, resilience, and refusing to remain dependent. 🖲️Some African nations are waking up to this call.A sustainable, military-industrial ecosystem on our soil isn’t a dream.
