His experience is literally what being a man is like everyday. You are constantly and consistently needed and relied upon and rarely if ever can you count on or rely upon others.

Someone close to me has just been through similar. He supported her through her personal crisis then the minute he showed a modicum of vulnerability she ran for the hills.

Damn. I once had a very close friend that I viewed as family effectively tell me “thank you for saving my life… now get out of it.” It’s important to help people for the right reasons, but damn it sure hurts when they turn on/abandoned you. Hug to him.
