“You cannot have liberty if you do not have a Christian population.” Precisely. That’s why there’s liberty in Christ, because those in Christ have the Holy Spirit and they won’t use their liberty for harm.

That is profoundly true. Similar was said by, I believe, John Adams when referring to our democracy. He said that it is holy in adequate for any but a religious and moral people.

Then professing Christians should stop being obsessed with winning government, power and culture, and throw our efforts into preaching the gospel to individual people, because that's the ONLY way the "population" will ever be Christian (at least some of it).

Nations that are secular live more at peace because secular thinking is more tolerant than religious thinking. Especially with religions, like Christianity, where Christians are intolerant of any theology does not align with theirs. Religious intolerance starts wars.

Look at all the "liberty" we had when the Jesus/Yahweh Collective ruled Europe from 481 CE to 1500 CE. From "History's Greatest Liars" by Joseph McCabe in the Archive.

This is why we are no longer in the church age of Philadelphia, but are in the age of the lukewarm church at Laodicea.

USS Liberty: Fake Christians, Real Hypocrisy “What Would Jesus Do?” That’s a phrase I heard constantly growing up in my farm town. I’m very Jewish, but I always respected it, because it’s shorthand for something simple: do better. Act better. Be more righteous. So for the many “Christians” on the right who are obsessed with the USS Liberty, I have one question: What would Jesus do? How Christ-like is it to keep resurrecting the USS Liberty? Israel apologized for the friendly fire incident. Israel paid reparations to every affected family. So is it Christian to endlessly relitigate something that was acknowledged, repented for, and atoned for? Is that forgiveness? Is that turning the other cheek? So many of you shout, “Christ is King.” But do you actually believe it? Do you live according to His tenets? Because Israel does. How often do Israelis bring up the American arms embargo while Israel was fighting five Arab armies trying to annihilate it? How often do Israelis rage about America stopping Israel in 1956 during the Suez Canal Crisis… while still enforcing an embargo? They don’t. That’s water under the bridge. “But Israel killed Americans on the Liberty!” Yes. A tragic and documented friendly fire incident; one Israel apologized for and paid for. But if you really want to pull the thread of who has caused more deaths through pressure, restraint, and imposed “peace”… America does not want that conversation. Because then we’d have to ask a harder question: Why does America keep demanding that the Jewish state make peace with people who openly want to murder all Jews? And how many Israelis have paid the price for that fantasy? If you were truly acting as followers of Christ, you would care about reducing death. But you don’t. You don’t care about American deaths. You don’t care about Israeli deaths. And you don’t actually care about the USS Liberty. You care about using death as a weapon. A weapon to justify your hatred. And I may be Jewish… …but I know that’s not what Jesus would do.
