Lebanese and Palestinian civilians have been consistently targeted by Israel, even when international law dictates that women, children, and men who are not in combat are excluded from being struck in times of war. On Eid al Adha eve, as people were celebrating whatever was left to celebrate after two years of genocide, Israel struck at the heart of a residential building in Gaza, killing six people and injuring 20, DURING a ceasefire. Yesterday in Lebanon, Israel killed 40 people and sent evacuation orders to nearly 50 towns in south Lebanon, DURING a ceasefire. This is what it means to be denied the universally protected category of civilian when Israel is your adversary.
