You can’t convince me Ohio State isn’t a top 3 team. Just zero way.

Top 3 teams don’t blow 20 point leads, JD

What is the team ranked that they blew the lead to and why were they up 20 points?

I still think they’re a top 10 team, and they’ll have opportunities to climb back into the top 3… but after two weeks of play and a 1-1 record being dropped to 6 is fair

- no run game - no offensive line - no explosive rbs - no wrs outside of smith - no tight ends - qb has a weak arm, doesn’t scan the field at all - no pass rush - no defensive game changers - no punter - no fg kicker - inept coaching staff (again) not a top 3 team, at all.

Bruh … come on man I love watching you. I’m willing to look past the Oregon natl champ pick but OSU allowed à mid Texas overrated team with a shit QB to steal the game. Youre better! Do better

Why even get upset about this. Lol. It's the second week. If osu is a top 2 team, they will show it on the field by the end of the season and be back in the top 2.

Let me hold your hand and break it down for you, J.D. 🤣 You had Ohio State at 2 after they just became the first No. 1 team in 20 years to blow a 20-point fourth-quarter lead on the road. Meanwhile Notre Dame sits at 6 in your poll like they’re some mid-tier cupcake program instead of the team sitting No. 1 in Sagarin. I know it’s outdated only with less bias. You never see the Irish for what they are. You just see scarlet & gray and start writing fan fiction. Not hating. Just my observation.

Ohio State should get credit for scheduling a tough opponent. Look at the teams who jumped ahead of them. Who has Georgia beat? 🧁 Tennessee State 🧁 Western Kentucky Who has Notre Dame beat? 🧁 Wisconsin 🧁 Rice Who has Indiana beat? 🧁 North Texas 🧁 Howard Who has Miami beat? 🥴Stanford 🧁 Florida A&M

Is Texas really #1?

Had the same reaction. Georgia, IU, and Miami haven’t played anyone

Texas dropped 6 spots last season for losing by a TD on the road vs the #3 ranked team. OSU lost by 1 point on the road to the #4 ranked team and dropped 5 spots. Quit yer bitchin!

A far better question is what is Georgia doing at #2?

They’ve lost 3 of their last 4 games. So why should we assume anything other than what they’ve shown us?

Both Texas and OSU are not top 3 teams. Time will tell

Without a lucky interception from Cam Coleman and a dropped easy touchdown from Ryan Wingo, the game is very different. Outside of Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State has nobody to fear. They’ve also lost three out of their last four games. You can’t lose a game this early, no matter who too, and stay ranked number three.

Ohio state has lost 3 of their last 4 games JD, thats how they arent a top 3 team, and they didnt “lose a close game on the road” they BLEW a 20 point second half lead, results matter

You are what your record says you are. If they're as good a you say they are, they'll work their way back up.

Maybe. Maybe not. But you can’t rank them ahead of other teams that have no losses

Did they beat someone good? I must of missed it. This early in the season 6 makes sense. They will have plenty of opportunity to improve their ranking

Not better than any of the undefeated teams ranked ahead of them. 3 of the 5 beat OSU within the last 6 months.

None of this matters JD. The only rankings that matter are the playoff rankings at the end of the season when 8-10 weeks have been played. Then we talk about rankings. There shouldn’t even be an AP poll anymore. Rank the teams in week 10-12 based on overall resume.

It's all arbitrary at this point. One could easily argue that LSU could beat Ohio State based on how Ohio State closed last night. But you don't hear LSU fans saying, "Well, we should be ahead of Ohio State because we don't have a loss."

Profilbild von Danny "PeeWee" O'Shea

People who make polls have no clue how to think logically. If anything, last night should have Ohio State at 2 immediately behind Texas. Unless they somehow think Texas would beat Georgia by less than 1 point, which is not possible

Way too early to know if OSU or Texas, for that matter, are or were the best teams. If they are, it’ll all work out eventually.

And that game was in Texas on a neutral field or at home Ohio St probably wins.
