!["I'm rooting for my brother [Kenny "The Jet" Smith] and his group to get the Las Vegas franchise, and that is what I came on First Take to say this morning." Stephen A Smith weighs in on Las Vegas' pursuit of an NBA franchise 👀](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2105686532090691898/amplify_video_thumb/2105686409621172224/img/JjOW1lUH_rJSc3Lb.jpg)
![Mike Breen on Bam's 83 "You know what? People love to be outraged. That's just what it is today. I can understand…it was made a mockery down the stretch…not the normal thing you see in an NBA game. [But] this is a guy who represents the very best of the NBA, the way he carries himself, the kind of teammate he is, the work ethic…Nothing but a great ambassador for the NBA, a high character individual, and his story is amazing. So for him & the Miami Heat fans to have a night like that, I thought that was wonderful…I'm not trying to cop out by saying they're both right, but sometimes there's a gray area…and we don't have to be outraged by everything"](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2031920797049061391/amplify_video_thumb/2031920477342498816/img/E1gPrM6tYOA2jict.jpg)
![Stephen A. Smith reveals a former football player with his own podcast told him the “truth ain’t meant to be told” when Republicans do something right. This story begins in Vegas, when the football player confronted Smith, saying: “Yo, man, you sound like one of them [Republican].” Smith replied: “I don’t give a damn what you say I sound like.” The football player got brutally honest with Smith and said: “Look, bro, let me, let me keep it a buck with you and just tell it to you like this.” “We are living in very serious times.” “‘The truth ain’t meant to be told sometimes.’” That last statement stopped Smith in his tracks. He responded: “‘Wait a minute, what you talking about?’” The former football player replied: “‘I don’t give a damn what it is that they’re doing right is nothing compared to what they’re doing wrong, therefore you should never say they’re doing something right.’” “‘I’m swearing to you, this is what he said,’” Smith attests. “I'm not gonna say his name cause I don’t know if he wants me to do that.” Chilling if true. I wonder who Smith could be talking about here… because there are only so many former football players with their own podcasts.](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2056775388785717296/amplify_video_thumb/2056775143112757248/img/lT7bJ3z0HSBtDAOQ.jpg)
![Stephen A. Smith delivers a blunt message aimed directly at Jasmine Crockett. “I hope Jasmine Crockett is listening to this.” By the end, Smith was visibly perplexed, shrugging his shoulders as to why Crockett couldn’t figure this out. “When you go on national television and… you’re being all disrespectful [to the president], as a representative in this country, do you believe the citizens of Texas sent you there to do that?” Smith asked. “They expect you to go to Capitol Hill and figure out a way to maneuver yourself through that terrain to work in a fashion that’s going to facilitate getting things done on behalf of your constituents.” “That’s your job! That’s your job!” Smith emphasized twice. “Excuse my language on SiriusXM, but it ain’t your job to say, ‘He ain’t sh*t.’ He ain’t worth a damn.’ That’s not your job! Anybody could do that.” Smith then gave Crockett a blunt lesson in decency, explaining that showing Trump some respect is the only way to actually get things done. “He’s a dealmaker. And if you figure out a way to make him look good… He’ll reciprocate,” Smith explained. “If you know that, why can’t you figure it out? Is that hard?” he asked, shrugging his shoulders.](https://image.24vids.com/tw-1976309424504365458/amplify_video_thumb/1976307838885527552/img/dZoO2GFMWADA_fPr.jpg)
