You could be forgiven for thinking next door neighbour had a bonfire. No this is their smoking BBQ! I've just brought in a line of dry washing & son is closing my bedroom windows. I was cooking our tea & had to close the kitchen window too! #neighbours 🤬

BBQs are overrated. I used to enjoy an early evening stroll on the beach. BBQs allowed from 6 pm onwards. The smell and the smoke cut it short. Awful.

I used to enjoy a BBQ but not the smoke. Why clouds of grey smoke? Surely too much fat, meat too near the coals? They had gone indoors when this was happening. I have severe asthma so not the best atmosphere. I've never complained but this was awful

Guess you could always buy a bit of land, build yourself a house in the middle of nowhere and then you’ll never have to worry about what your neighbours are cooking again 😂😂

They may have a BBQ chimney which makes the first 10 minutes very smoky, then it should die down

Back in the day, neighbours use to speak... Either way, my neighbours will expect me to knock that door pretend there is a fire in their garden, then when we worked out its the BBQ, I taste test the food for them, because im a good neighbour. Moral of the story, knock the door and talk... you might get some ribs out of it!

I have two smoker barbecues - if they’re getting continuous smoke like this they’re not doing it right it’ll make the food taste bitter. The smoke should be clear very quickly , they need to clean out the old ash and get it up to heat quicker using a looftlighter

Young and although a nice couple they never think to say. All their windows were closed which was as well as they got as much smoke as I did! Wind dumped it all in my garden at one point

My selfish neighbours do the same. They have no idea how to do it so put food on too early , loads of smoke. I plug in a fan and blow the smoke back. You can hear them coughing violently.

I really feel for you. My boss used to mix it with her baccy and smoke it in a roll-up at lunchtime. She stank when she came back in. I didn't know what the smell was until everyone talked about it after she left. Her bestie was the HR lady!

Don't remember life being like that years ago. A quick knock on the door to let us know and Mum used to take the washing in. No fuss, no trouble
