This is ridiculous. Everything above 18" is Federal airspace, and you can fly 'legal' drones in it all you want. I get that people think they own and control the air above their property, but they simply do not.

It is illegal to fly drones over private property. You have a right to privacy on your land. You also own the airspace above your land up to a certain height. Not sure if the laws are different in New York but I’d be pissed if they allowed cameras to fly over my backyard.

In general, It’s NOT ILLEGAL to fly Drones over private property as the owner of such land DOES NOT OWN the airspace!! Such areas are governed and/or controlled by the FAA!!! Some people are ENTIRELY STUPID about drones and what they are LEGALLY used for. Cops SHOULD KNOW THIS!!
