Pat him down? So he can grab his ass before he leaves? Pat downs & searches are used before taking someone into custody, or when someone is detained. Ticket was served. Pretty sure this guy has a case and his rights were violated. Hopefully he had enough for a good lawyer.

I really don’t understand why he would have to pat him down over a traffic stop. Suspicion is not enough to search, especially when it’s just a traffic stop. I’ve got a feeling he may have a way out on that one .

After he issued him the ticket… the pat down was unnecessary. He had no reasonable suspicion beforehand… never even came up.

I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure after he had signed the contract on that ticket their business was done anything after that is illegal search the seizure illegal arrest that cop opened himself up to a lawsuit and he should lose his qualified immunity
