I'm at a loss for words to describe this. Not once did Hasina mention the students who lost their lives during the recent protests during her latest presser with business leaders. The police killed at least 170 students (the actual number is likely higher), but she didn't express any condolences, nor did she address the police brutality. All she said was that the protest was orchestrated by 'Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP,' and she will go to any extent to arrest and punish the perpetrators. This is sickening. What a classic case of a dictator she is!

This teacher is pregnant and doesn’t have a support system in place. When her students found out she wasn’t having a baby shower because she couldn’t afford it, they all got together to give her one. When you are alone and you are facing a huge task like this, it can be terrifying. It’s so important to be able to have someone you can lean on when you are facing so much uncertainty. Her students are also creating a wishlist for her so others in the community can chip and help her. Where so many people would judge her for being in. That position, others saw a person who could use some help and stepped in, isn’t this is what motherhood is about?
