was just gonna bitch that that filter SHOULD be hand tight then I though, he's gonna pull it out and the plastic protector still gonna be in their. I was not disappointed.

Weird. None of the filters I buy have plastic wrap over them. It just comes in a box.

To be fair, that filter would have stayed clean for the life of the engine. It could have been the last filter the owner would ever buy!

Worked at a Ford dealership when I was 18. One day a guy brought a truck in to the shop for a new water pump. When he drove away with it afterward, I pointed out to the mechanic the unopened water pump gasket package on his workbench. Dude brought the truck back the next morning

I was expecting to see the gasket from the old filter still stuck to the pan, this is even worse..

Make fun all you want but don't forget. This was probably their first time changing the oil in a car and at least they were willing to do the labor. Some lessons must be learned the hard way.

I replaced the column assembly in my former (15year relationship) boyfriend's truck about 6 months ago and he dumped me two weeks ago. I am on my own again, I think I am going to buy a small fishing boat. Something I can fix for me.

A lot of the guys who work at these places can't even drive a stick, let alone change oil correctly. At the place I'd go to in San Diego I always had to pull my Challenger into the bay because they only knew how to drive automatics.

See I thought I was bad when I accidentally left the old gasket of the old filter on a truck when I was a kid working at a shop they called me Valdez for the summer cuz of all the oil that spewed everywhere when I fired it up but guess what I never did that again I've checked it every time since
