As I saw Joyce the moment she said that

I thought this scene in particular was really well done. Joyce being the one to finish him off was perfect. Each hack showing our people and all they’ve suffered at the hands of him. “You fucked with the wrong family” not just applying to the Byers but their group as a whole.

She struck the axe 11 times and I think that was a nice Easter egg
