They then targeted families and civilians in the neighborhood with mortar shells. We were directly targeted for two hours despite our attempts to flee the area. Then the Hajri militia searched every house individually, armed with handguns and rifles. They asked us if we had money, phones, weapons, or identification. We told them we were civilians, didn't have any weapons, and didn't know how to use them. My husband, a civilian, didn't know how to use them. I told them there was only a sick man and my child, and we were all trying to take shelter in our house. They told me I was now a prisoner. They also captured my husband and covered his face with the shirt he was wearing. I told them we were neighbors from Amad, and yesterday you had promised us safety and that we wouldn't be targeted. Why are you doing this to us now? They told me no. Then they did the same thing to the rest of the houses in the area. After that, someone came to us and, by chance, he knew my husband before. He hid us in one of the houses, gave us water to drink, and allowed my child to use the bathroom. He was kind and respectful, while the rest were just a criminal gang. Then they gathered everyone they had captured in the mosque. When I entered the mosque, I found many dead people. I found one of the children beheaded, and his mother was my neighbor. Did you see what happened? I saw them because the militia brought all the bodies to the mosque for burial. I saw one of our neighbors, who had difficulty moving due to rheumatism, and they shot him in the feet. Then they took him away, claiming they were going to treat him. Instead, they killed him in front of the mosque. This is what I saw with my own eyes. After that, because I was a nurse, they brought the injured to the mosque for treatment, even though they claimed they were taking them to the hospital. One of the family members was a doctor. I saw five of their injuries with my own eyes, all of them children. Then they made successive promises that they would release us that same day. The guards who escorted us were respectful. As for food, they offered us a cup of bulgur for every five people. I'm now trying to remember the details of what happened. There wasn't enough water, and we were over 1,000 prisoners. It was two years ago today that two armed federal agents showed up to my home. We knew they chose that day, June 23, 2023, for a specific reason. It was one of the most important days of my life - my graduation from surgical training. Because of all the sacrifice that comes from surgical training, these are one of those moments you never forget. A few hours before the ceremony (so a few hours before this video was filmed) armed agents were at my door. My wife, Andrea, and I knew they chose that day because of what it represented. They were using the value of my accomplishments as the means to extort my compliance with their corrupt investigation. They were holding my entire future hostage and hoping I would be overwhelmed by fear. But that's not what happened. After the agents left, for those first few moments we were terrified but then something changed. We were angry, righteously indignant, hopelessly defiant. The political insanity over the preceding years had taken away so much from us - our country as we knew it, our hopes for the future, the friends we cared about, and so much else. They came to my home that day to take more. But that was the day we decided we weren't going to let them take away anything else. The line in the sand had been drawn. Instead of hiding in fear, Andrea and I opened a few bottles of champaign, sat on our patio, played Vietnam war music, and chain smoked a whole pack of cigarettes (both of us are nonsmokers but it seemed like the right thing to do in the moment). We went to my graduation that night and celebrated everything we accomplished. Today was the first time I saw my graduation video and the speech one of my attendings gave about me. It's overwhelming to think back to that night and to listen to those words. I remember standing on that stage that night and thinking to myself that all of the reasons he gave for why I was a good surgeon were the same reasons federal agents were at my door a few hours before. I was being targeted not because I had done something wrong but because I upheld the principles of my profession. They thought they would destroy me, have me renounce what I knew to be good and true, and turn me to dust. But as we all know now, a totally different story played out. And for the people who were responsible for this treacherous corruption, the story is only just beginning.

Donovan Johnson was bright light in this world. As soon as he flashed his trademark smile, he left you no choice but to do the same. He was full of joy, jokes, love and loyalty. He was grateful for the opportunities in his life and proud when he made the most of them. He was a role model to my boys and he loved them whole heartedly. He was part of our family. He battled Leukemia with a brave and gracious heart and fought so hard to be here for his family, especially his son. I loved Donovan and I have peace knowing he knew that. I’m grateful for my purpose in this profession, to impact young people and make sure they know how deeply they are loved and believed in. Rest in peace, DonJohn. I will love you forever.

How I wished the days would pass and then I forget that these days is my life... I wonder when this war will end. We don't have the energy to bear anymore.. There is no point in things coming late, like a kiss of apology on the forehead of a dead person.. I hope the war ends before it is too late because no one will be left alive here... My friends and loved ones.. This Mo again with a new update.. Yesterday there was another bombing in the apartment where I go to get an internet signal.. but I was not there.. I was at home.. I am no longer online much because the area I go to in order to get an Internet signal has become very dangerous... My daughter, Julia, is slowly recovering. She sends her greetings to you and says thank you for your gift. She feels happy to have fresh fish and vegetables.. My friends and dear ones.. Two weeks ago, I bought food for the cats and I felt that I would not find food for them because the supplies here had run out. Fortunately for me, I found what I wanted on the black market, but at ridiculous prices. To make the food last as long as possible, I mix it with bread... One of the merchants called me and told me that he had taken some of his goods out of his store, which was destroyed, and that he intended to sell them. I told him to give me some time so I can bring him the money.. I intend to bring everything he has for the cats I have... because I'm sure I won't find food for them soon... How I wished the days would pass and then I forget that these days is my life... I wonder when this war will end. We don't have the energy to bear anymore.. Two weeks ago, I bought food for the cats and I felt that I would not find food for them because the supplies here had run out. Fortunately for me, I found what I wanted on the black market, but at ridiculous prices. To make the food last as long as possible, I mix it with bread... One of the merchants called me and told me that he had taken some of his goods out of his store, which was destroyed, and that he intended to sell them. I told him to give me some time so I can bring him the money.. I intend to bring everything he has for the cats I have... because I'm sure I won't find food for them soon... Stirring words from Secretary Rubio: "How do you remember? This is a memorial service to honor him, how do you best remember? I'll take the liberty of saying what we can best do. You see a young man at your door, he tells you that they don’t have a place to stay and was kicked out of their home. It’s hard because you feel bad for them because their situation seems dire, and they look so young with no where to go. But on the other hand, how many times have home invasions or worst starts out with a sob story like this. If this happened to you would you just call the cops, would you let them in for the night?
