I agree, but how do we define “real world consequences”? Often times, they are hard to predict. In defense of the “should” person, they are seeing a negative norm, and deciding to act against it to set a new one. It is an act of principle, rejecting consequentialism.

The whole point of the original argument is that the effect of this action is not improving things for you, this is not a case of “acting this way will make it so”

It doesn’t always know when it’s safe, and when it’s not.” Tesla does not use any LiDAR sensors in their Robotaxis in Austin. They use it only for validation purposes when training beforehand, which they have been doing for years.
