"You know what? Exist in a long enough timeline and every clipper turns into ostonox. That's what it is. Look at Adri: Adri was like, 'Oh, I'm clipping everything that you're doing so people don't see you out of context,' and now? It's too good." I'LL GO BACK TO...

Jordan Peterson breaks down how to shut off social anxiety the moment you walk in: "You go to a party, your heart's beating. Why? The party is a monster. Why? Because it's judging you. It's putting you low down the dominance hierarchy, because that's what a negative judgment is" "That interferes with your sexual success, and that means you're being harshly evaluated by nature itself. So you're confronting the dragon of chaos when you go into the social situation" "And what do you do? You hunch over, and that's low dominance. I'm no threat. Well, that's not going to get you very far. But it's a logical thing to do in the face of a tyrant. You look at the king and you're dead. I'm no threat, I'm hunched over" "And then what's happening internally? What are people thinking about me? Am I looking stupid? Am I looking foolish? I'm awkward. I hate being here. I'm sweating too much. It's all internalized, it's all self-focused" "You can't tell someone to stop thinking about something, because they get caught in the loop. It's like don't think of a white elephant. White elephant, white elephant, white elephant" "What you do with socially anxious people is you say, look at other people. Look at them. Because if you look at them, you can tell what they're thinking" "If you're ever speaking to a group of people, never speak to the group of people. That doesn't exist. You talk to individuals, and then they reflect for you the entire group, because they're all entrained. You look at one person and they broadcast you everyone's thinking" "As soon as you focus on the person, not you, you push your attention outward and you start watching. Well then all your automatic mechanisms kick in and you stop being awkward" "If we're talking and I'm looking over here, I don't know what you're going to do next, and I'm going to put disjunctions in, like bad chords in the melody of our conversation. And the reason is I'm not paying attention" "That's why the eye is the thing at the top of the pyramid. It's the thing that enables you to win the set of all possible dominance hierarchies"

Zack Snyder expected fans to edit 300 and 300: Rise of an Empire into a single chronological edit. "Well, this film takes place on the same three days as the Battle of Thermopylae. We just get to see a different perspective. We're not from the Spartan perspective. We're from the Free Greek perspective. And we're following this leader, Thermistocles, who is a naval commander." "Yeah, and the other thing we get to see, I think, that's different in this film is it sort of, it also, it jumps forward and backward a little bit because it also goes and sort of paints the origins of Xerxes. So you get to see Xerxes' birth, what caused him to sort of become the character that you saw in the original film. "And you get to see him, you know, transform before your eyes. So it's a, and that's a mystery too. And it's kind of fun to watch that. And I think it, and then you also get to see sort of some elements of the original film kind of woven through to sort of let you see where you are in context of the timeline of the original film. "So you kind of, every now and then you're just checking in with that sort of, the, you know, the Spartans and their, what they're up to. So it's kind of fun that way too." "I love that there's moments where you go, 'Oh, that's the messenger.' And it's not just the characters you expect to see coming back." "Or like when Daxos rides up and tells Thermistocles, like, 'The hot gates have fallen.' You're like, 'Oh, that's awesome.'" "'That's where he went. I remember him leaving.'" "'That's where he went off on the horse. Remember, he rides in the, it's cool.'" "It's a fun way to see the characters that, you know, that connect us to the original film." "I thought it'd be cool, like, if some fan, you know, once this movie comes out on DVD, they can, some fans could cut the two movies together into a single, like, you could cut them into a single film."
