ESIC Medical College and Hospital in Alwar, Rajasthan has released a notice for vacancy of 11 Junior Resident and 12 Tutor posts on 28/07/25. And guess how many doctors appeared for the posts in the interview? 439 doctors. And the college collected an amount of ₹3,28,750. For 23 posts, 439 MBBS doctors have applied. Imagine what will happen after 5 years, 10 years and 20 years. Being a plain MBBS doctor is no longer a rewarding path. You can’t open your clinic because there are so many hurdles and ultimately everyone wants to do PG. You can’t work in private and corporate hospitals because they pay very less. Govt jobs are on a contractual basis and permanent vacancies come in 2–3 years, that too very few. So even after sacrificing so much, you don’t get anything in return. Choose MEDICINE if you are really passionate about it, or your parents own a hospital or you are filthy rich. Because now in this era, only getting an MBBS degree won’t guarantee a job for you.
