He’s not wrong. The removal of beauty from the world we built is one of the greatest crimes against humanity that has ever existed. It’s a wound on our very souls itself.

Architecture these days are horrendous, (there are some exceptions though). It's both hilarious & depressing seeing modern architects trying to defend sh1t constructions like this 👇, and them calling their critics "regressive" & "out of touch".🤦‍♂️ F right off, I say.

Its true…it styles your furniture, your art, your clothing and even your manners.

I believe the removal of beauty, intricacy, art and love of creation from architecture was and is purposeful. When you live outside of urban areas you are surrounded by the beauty of nature, God's architecture. As man removed himself from nature, he felt himself distancing from God and wanted that sense of wonder and majesty to be present around him still, so he created that which was beautiful and inspiring. At some point in the last 100 years or so someone made the decision that an uninspired humanity would be easier to control, a uniform life for all in regular and routine confines. Whoever it was has nearly succeeded in his plan.

Architects of old were soulful engineering geniuses weaving myth, cosmos, and poetry into eternal wonders Compared today our architects are the engineers who just cant do math pumping out grey soulless, disposable boxes

The era of 1950 to 2040 will be considered as ugly modernism.

Tucker Carlson had some very interesting things to say about this. I have never paid attention to him and I was pleasantly surprised about vehemence on the matter. ‘…because they HATE us…’ was his response and I had never quite looked at it that way before and it really helped put a lot of pieces together for me.

As an architect myself, I agree that much has been lost!

Ever since I was a boy... Houses, buildings, current and futuristic drawings... Skylines of a time in the future when humanity lives in peace and prosperity. The dream. Many of us share it. We haven't lost it completely... The rise of true craftsmanship is just beginning.

Hungary has incredible architecture. There is a golden opera in the tiny town of Szeged and a an 8 foot white chocolate Michael Jackson in the marzipan museum of Eger(?) where you can also get bull’s blood wine.

What remains of the beautiful architecture in Europe will soon turn to ruins by the migrants, who neither appreciate or respect the culture. The great cathedrals will become mosques, and European history will be lost and rewritten.

This is one of the main reasons I love traveling to Europe. There are so many beautiful buildings. But I hate it when I see brutalist and modern buildings next to beautiful traditional buildings. Such an eyesore.

The esthetics of our environment have an impact on our lives and vice versa. The ugly concrete structures of modern cities are an expression of hardened hearts and loss of sensitivity, beauty and harmony in us. This type of architectural structures reflect back to us the human alienation from our true nature. Our true nature wants harmony and beauty.

I had to put the video speed on .25x to see all that beautiful archicture. I think the curve ceiling with the round portals was the most aesthetically pleasing in my humble opinion.

This is what we get when we optimize productivity for mass consumption. We slowly chisel away the special little pieces for mass consumers. Maybe AI/Robots will bring back novelty & uniqueness to future products & services because production cost will be almost free.

@PhantomXMusic69 Why? To give the next generation of bombers targets? It wasn't the art that was lost. It was an element of humanity that was lost.

Yesss! I follow Mexico AD & design because there’s so much beauty with history in how they’re preserving the architecture. What looks like a flat monochrome facade opens to unique architectural elements that complement the design.
