I think as an exapnsion Taken King was the best, but my favorite D1 raid is the SIVA one (Wrath of the Machine IIRC) which also gave us my favorite Destiny gun of all time, Outbreak Prime (or Outbreak Perfected in D2)

Got Vex from my first time running VoG

As a brother Hunter, I never got Y1 Vex to drop despite raiding almost every week 2-3 times a week. Ran my girlfriend through JUST before RoI dropped & she got Y1 Vex her first time. Later, ran her through D2 VoG & she also got Vex FIRST TIME! @rustiology likes to remind me.
