You pay a TSA security fee on EVERY flight ticket. Congress took that money. Diverted it. And now the workers keeping you safe are sleeping in cars and selling plasma waiting for a paycheck. You funded TSA. Demand they get paid. #StopTrumpsTSAShutdown

Democrat members of Congress are getting paid, but they’re withholding TSA workers pay checks. Democrats in Congress have chosen to not fund Homeland Security, which means that all of our TSA workers who showed up today are not getting paid. The men and women of TSA work hard to make sure you and your loved ones can fly safely. This political theater is only making it hard on them and their families. If you see a TSA officer today, thank them!

"If you find yourself in a long TSA line, just remind yourself, the TSA workers, they're working without a paycheck due to the partial government shutdown." Democrats need to pay our workers and reopen Homeland Security!

NEW: Major airlines call on Congress to fund Homeland Security and pay TSA workers, who've now missed a partial and full paycheck. The Democrat shutdown has caused immense harm to American travelers and workers — and it needs to end.

🚨 JUST IN: Rick Scott says a Democrat senator complained he can’t miss his $174,000 paycheck because of his mortgage. Meanwhile TSA agents are making around $50,000 and struggling to get by during this. He called it out directly, what about TSA workers? No pay for Congress until TSA gets paid. No excuses.

Did you know politicians in Congress are getting paid during the DHS shutdown while TSA agents don’t get paid? It’s ridiculous that Congress can fail but have no accountability. I have a way to fix it: the No Budget, No Pay Act. I want to fund ALL of DHS, but if Democrats want to fund TSA, they can get my vote with one condition: pass it with my No Budget, No Pay Act. We can pay TSA agents, but until Democrats agree to pay ALL federal workers - ICE & CBP included - Congress shouldn’t get paid either. Call your senator TODAY and demand we pass my bill.

Many people don’t know this, but we pay a fee on every airplane ticket purchased that’s supposed to go directly to fund TSA. But 10 years ago, Congress passed bipartisan legislation that diverted the security fee revenue into a general “slush fund”. Everything is a scam. 😩

TSA agents are under strain in Arizona and across the country. Now, more than 800 agents in Phoenix are going without pay at a time when they are still recovering from the last damaging shutdown. My Pay Our Homeland Defenders Act will be on the House floor this week to ensure these TSA agents - and all Homeland Security personnel - can count on receiving a paycheck for the work they do to keep Americans safe.

GOLDEN AGE OF TRAVEL: It had been over a DECADE since there was a significant upgrade for TSA security checkpoints. The $1 billion investment was essential to modernize our technology and make it more efficient and secure for American travelers. The number one priority of TSA is keeping Americans safe. Right now, our TSA officers are working without pay.

🚨 JUST IN: TSA workers are about to MISS A PAYCHECK because Chuck Schumer is personally blocking their pay Schumer has maintained a prolonged DHS shutdown, holding America hostage in the middle of conflict with Iran TSA wait times are going HOURS-long. REOPEN IT NOW! "Yet another missed paycheck by TSA applies pressure on lawmakers to get a deal. Busier travel and longer lines could also serve as an inflection point." "The TSA dam may have finally burst over the weekend and it might not get better as people travel south after a brutal winter in the Northeast. There's still no movement to end the Homeland Security shutdown."

TSA workers have been going a month with no paycheck and they’re pissed that ICE agents are getting paid to chill and play airport cop. “TSA officers are sickened that we have unqualified DHS employees walking the airports, with pay, while we all suffer doing our qualified work unpaid.”

“My bank account is empty. I’m lost. I’m drowning.” Angela Grana, a TSA officer in Colorado, says she feels “demoralized” and “un-valued” amid the ongoing DHS shutdown, and tells CBS News’ Nikole Killion her co-workers are also sleeping in the cars or at the airport, and some are selling their plasma to get by without pay. Her message to lawmakers: “We don’t have a red line and blue line for passengers. We are Americans…We need to be paid. We shouldn’t be letting security be at risk.”

Fetterman: TSA agents are all hurting. They’re union government workers, and now if we refuse to give them a paycheck. They'll talk about affordability, if you don't even provide them with a paycheck.
