Dude I actually loved Tri and 3 Ultimate with underwater combat. I think that people who hate underwater combat use the same "Underwater levels in Super Mario are the worst" type alibi

Fr tho. I think the part I like the most about underwater combat is the fact that so many weapons feel like their playstyle is enhanced by the system. Imo Switch Axe feels incredible in Tri/3U cuz of how it feels in both fields of play

Speaking of the Lagi theme, I can't wait to hear what Wilds version is like. I've never gotten to properly fight it so I'm really looking forward to it!

I don't think I'll ever play tri itself really. (Although it could make for a good experience) I do really enjoy 3 Ultimate, so I am sure if push came to shove I would enjoy tri. So to everyone, PLAY GEN 3 MH it some good stuff.

TRI is scuffed, because they still don't know how to design combat for underwater. 3U is when they managed to get a good balance... "managed", I still don't want underwater combat to come back. 🗿

Hey whoever is reading this, if you're on the fence about checking out Tri cause half the content of the game is locked behind online then that's the case no more, look up the MHTri SP server, i'd go as far as to say that Tri and 3U are completely different games.
