I said many times you are best teacher. Why? Because you inspire people to experiment and show the ways someone less experienced never thought were possible. Thank you for giving us inspiration fren.

how can i learn c like this guy

I literally said how in the video. You just choose to ignore it.

BTW i forked your template, was walking through your video. Had to get raylib on macos and ran the first part and ran ./main and red window poped up

These short videos are amazing. I love them

thank you for the teachings master

Fun thing, the dynamic linker itself is more of an interpreter in some respects. ( glibc's also refers to itself as such in the help text, e.g. `/usr/lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 --help` )

Dude somebody should make GHCI but for C. You can use something like ctags or a custom parser to get the symbol names from a header, then get libffi to load the DLLs, and then implement a simple subset of C to allow you to execute code at runtime.

why do i feel so happy watching a coding video

Love a good tsoding video, always full of insightful content.

🤔 that's pretty common sense thing - to learn from open source. But question is - how to determine what code is good and what is bad, smell and/or approaches? Especially when you beginner. This is rather a rhetorical question that is resolved by experience and practice.

You seem to be a good teacher Sad that I can’t understand half of what is happening in the screen Maybe I need to learn c

Really interesting! Maybe with AI coding we can have like wider support for all sorts of different libraries so like whatever is pre-installed not really needing to install much stuff.. nix people will hate this idea.... But yeah alot the time you don't need to ship stuff... It's kind of funny when you install video games on win it's like installing you another version of visual c++ so you have another one of those... It's like my python venvs these days.... Masses of gb for all these dupe files and dupe venvs for each project. .. I guess zfs helps a bit with the cross file compression but still is a problem really

Any recos for good python codebases?

You don’t use lsp and tree-sitter? we have that on Emacs now.

C repl. Dude. DUUUUDE! You're so effin cool!

Truly enjoyable to watch.

That was sick Nice work dude

You should look at jarts cosmopolitan c

100%. It's like having a library of senior engineers' thought processes at your fingertips. Now im curious, what's the most interesting thing you've learned from reading someone else's code?

You’re a great teacher man

thanks for the video. how can I learn c?

This is mind blowing. crepl is even a nicer gem 💎

Really useful when you need libraries that may not be available for cuda, rocm, etc...

Function overloading and Templates/Generics are both compile time polymorphism. So separate code for each function variant is generated for both of them at compile time. So it's almost the same thing.

Three bangers in one video!

@threadreaderapp unroll

damn bro

God mode C programming. 😍

dude just discovered function pointers

banger!
