You shouldn't rely on inspiration to make art.

As a disclaimer btw, I'm not saying laziness is the ONLY reason some of you don't draw, hence the "sometimes". There can obviously be other factors at work. I wanted to point out the topic of "inspiration", and how the lack of it is seen as an excuse to not draw.

I think my biggest issue is indecision on what I want to draw. But I think your video provides the same point, you just gotta do. Which means I seriously need to stop looking at shiny and nifty stuff here. 😂

@EmilytheWitch09 I feel the same way often, then I realize that I'm gonna have to choose at SOME POINT. All it takes is that first step!

ohmygod. You just opened my third eye. I never thought about the fact that inspiration can burden you with silent expectations of yourself. But It’s so obvious now that you point it out.

Great mentality to have both in art and in exercising! 🫡

AGREED! As a runner I feel like this is the same sort of approach I take to art as I do with exercise! Don't stop! Keep going!

I like your words funny himbo man.

Less dependency on inspiration is good, it isnt sustainable It's important to suggest ways to sustain motivation especially in regards to mental health factors. Motivation in art is in our hierarchy of needs. Based on your replies tho, you seem considerate of it which is nice :)

Wise words! 🙏 If you wait to be inspired to do all the things you want to do then they may never happen!

I can be lazy as well and I like inspiration it help me and ask a lot questions about life and why does it matter and deep though about it.
