@NicholasCraven_ The gains from this are marginal at best. A proper curing method does all this, adds flavor, and more. If one really wanted to enhance tobacco leaf with potent actives, there are much stronger options than natural volatile organic breakdown products, none of which are present.

t-butyl nitrite is not what they use in poppers, those are typically n-butyl or amyl nitrite. the difference is how the atoms are arranged. we use t-butyl nitrite in chemistry because it is more reactive, this stuff is really nasty, itll knock you unconscious easily
