@0nlyk1tt3n If you are smooth and consistent at bunny hopping the barriers, it is actually more efficient and faster than dismounting and running over the barriers. He took a chance of gaining time that didn’t work out in his favor. Cyclocross is a very difficult anaerobic sport.

@0nlyk1tt3n Hey I'm actually an expert in this! Jumping the barriers on the bike and off the bike are both very normal. Bunny hopping is way harder and higher commitment and requires more skill. It also requires the ability to carry momentum and not get bogged down by competitors
