If you’re on time with your prep-step and your eyes are in the imaginary strike zone of the hitter, you’ll know almost immediately whether the play requires a drop step to create more space and make the hop more manageable. And remember: you don’t need fancy gadgets, pitch-backs, or eye-catching drills to get game ready. A wall, some open space, and a tennis racket can be all you need to develop elite defensive skills.
