The tag doesn't match this car so, it could be stolen and the guy, the driver smells alcohol did not want to pass DUI test plus he was speeding. The woman kicked the female officer. She was charged with battery on a law officer and resisting officer without violence. They also checked the VIN - Vehicle Identification Number, in the door and dash, and nothing came back.

She did nothing wrong. She’s annoying but she didn’t do anything criminal.

It is amazing the lack of respect shown by some of these clowns (and yes, respect works both ways). There are clearly a number of elements which predicated this traffic stop (and yes, driving is a privilege and not a right). The person stopped follows lawful directions, i.e. provides license, registration and proof of insurance. The policeman or woman restricts their questioning to lawful questions based on the predicate (i.e. speeding). If the police suspect additional broken laws (i.e. DWI) (we do still have MADD, no?), then they are obligated to conduct additional verification to preclude such. As an older gentleman, I have had interactions with police which always started with Yes sir and No sir, and never showed some of the behavior we are now seeing. Sometimes these interactions resulted in a ticket, sometimes they did not -- and when they did, I was certainly not happy about it, but the law is the law, and every time I did receive a ticket -- I had broken the law and was penalized appropriately. These escalations really show a breakdown in the culture, but more importantly for the person involved, escalating and the penalties then triggered will always result in worse outcomes.
