you’ll never catch certain groups sounding this good when their mics are on, but sure let’s keep worrying about spotify numbers instead of vocal lessons🤣🤦‍♀️

I thought the numbers for the debut this year was awesome, almost 2.4M. What happened?

🎥 #서현 | Seohyun encouraged Hyoyeon to take vocal lessons, be prepared for longer parts, and stop thinking negatively about her voice "Members who have more parts are more likely to take vocal lessons because they have even more ambition to do well, so members with less parts are even less likely to do so. But having friends around me who inspired me with their words, for example Seohyun who said 'Unnie, why don't you take some vocal lessons?', not because I can't sing but because I tend to think negatively. She'd say 'Unnie, instead of only taking dance lessons, you should try taking some vocal lessons too.’ Hearing that I started to think, ‘Yeah that's right. Eventually singing parts may get longer’ and it motivated me. Year by year my way of thinking started to change"

7/27 always makes me nostalgic for one of my favorite girl groups of all time: Fifth Harmony. Something I’ll always appreciate about 5H is how every member had their own vocal identity. Different tones, different textures, different strengths… but when they came together, they created some really special moments. Here are some of my favorite Fifth Harmony vocal moments. A thread! 🧵

INFURIATING. 😡 Sullivans Island, S.C. You see, leadership incites certain things in people. Whether leadership brings out the good or bad nature of people depends on the leader. Leaders don’t make people act a certain way, but they damn sure influence whether people feel like their actions are acceptable or not.

I’m voting this as one of the best, feel good videos you’ll see on X today. This fawn is very young. They lose their spots when they are 3 to 4 months old! Curiously adorable ☺️

During Lamar Jackson’s appearance on the Lounge podcast, he revealed how Declan Doyle and the rest of the staff are keeping him on his A-game. I was sure the Ravens got their coaching staff right, but after listening to this, I am certain!

There are times when I remain silent when asked about my home country because of the embarrassment caused by ZANUPF to the identity of being a Zimbabwean. I never used to understand people who prefer to be identified by their name rather than their country of origin, but I do now after encountering this video! But this can’t change itself folks, we have to fight against this global embarrassment through demanding political reforms instead of surrendering our fate into ZANUPF hands.

I'm so sick of people sharing their stupid voting numbers chart like it's some x on a map that proves their ridiculous stolen election conspiracies. There's only about a 12 million difference in Biden vs. Kamala's turnout numbers, which will likely drop when counting concludes. But those differences are easily explained. PLEASE learn to read data.

Instead of talking about the REAL issues—like the fact that millions of children are at risk of losing Medicaid—we had a hearing about fencing today… yes, the sport. Republicans are wasting valuable time and taxpayer dollars on distractions instead of solutions. And here’s what makes it even worse: the chairwoman of this very Subcommittee represents more children at risk of losing their healthcare than anyone else on this committee. But instead of fighting for them, she’s busy hosting hearings on fencing. You can’t make this up.
