And I keep thinking about that when people reduce everything he does for Moth to his ulterior motive for dating him. Yes, Dean started this because he was helping Ten. But that doesn’t explain who Dean is while doing it. Finding a birthday cake for someone who wanted to spend the day alone. Choosing a butterfly bracelet specifically for him. Taking him out on a boat. Remembering things. Making sure Moth feels cared for.show more

Dean is thoughtful because Dean is thoughtful. We already see him give that same care to his friends. Moth’s loneliness is obvious because he chooses to be alone. Dean’s is almost invisible because he’s never alone. And maybe that’s what makes them so interesting to me: Moth has convinced himself he doesn’t need anyone, while Dean has surrounded himself with everyone and still doesn’t seem to have someone who is simply there for him.

I have a question tho. Why can't Hun hook up with Dean? They had a fling before right? When Dean said 'I wanted to hang out with a friend' Hun looked upset. And he sulked about wanting to do things that he can't with friends and left. I am confused about their dynamics 😕 #YouManiacSeriesEP2

#YouManiacSeriesEP2 Tbh it's also kind of on Dean though that he might be gentlemanly/friendly from outside but he doesn't actually delve deeper and really think about people around him. He wants to keep being friends with his past flings but I doubt he has ever asked any of them how they feel about this or okay with it. He doesn't try to connect with them on a deeper level, so of course his 'frindship' with those people are very superficial.

Dean is such pitiful character, but to be fair, both Dean and Moth are very lonely people and how they choose to cope with this is so opposite to eo 😢 #YouManiacSeriesEP2

Yes he does not know how to be alone and so he create so much superficial relationship with a lot of people but all that does is just leave him empty with no real friendships. It is just 2 episodes so I am waiting to see if there is a reason for his behavior. #YouManiacSeriesEP2

I agree with this but mind you Dean did that to himself. He wants friends but he treats them as more because friends don’t sleep with each other so he can’t be shocked they want more than friendship from him. Then when he can’t provide ofc they leave him.
